a guy Posted October 13, 2025 Report Posted October 13, 2025 we are trying to play on the official vintage story public server and every time he loads in, he crashes within either 10 minutes, or immediately upon loading the server. neither of us have any idea what is going on here. please, if anyone can help, i just want to play multiplayer with my friend.

But I see you mean the game unilaterally and undesireably ending unexpectedly. Given those attempted play times, I'd say he's stumbled across embedded code to help us all remember to go to bed at ungodly hours of the night. Yeah, I don't have a clue either. I don't really have any good advice here, other than submit the crash report over on the github bug tracker: https://github.com/anegostudios/VintageStory-Issues/issues If it's an issue with the TOPS server or the game code, the devs will certainly want to know, and if it's not they should be able to help potentially pinpoint the problem.
