As stated above: when bread is baked in a campfire, it has the black body glow like any metal item. No wonder it comes out charred…2025-10-19_14-45-33.thumb.png.30a49b2610c17a8abf937e6ddd36e0ec.png

It's due to the baking temperature being around 700C. Any item that can be heated to such temperatures will start to glow like that. 😛 Though typically, most food items cap around 300-400 C, so they never have a chance to glow. I'd say in the case of bread here, it's probably an oversight, if not potential mod interference.

BTW, I was making this bread to prep for the first story chapter. So, obviously, I left it and my new tin bronze shield at home. But I found bees! At the story location... which is 4,000 blocks from base. You win some, you lose some.

Don't worry, as soon as you get a populated skep back to your base, you will find the wild hive nearby that you previously missed. 😁

So true. I searched high and low in one world and then afterwards I found a hive 100 blocks from my base.

I have had this happen so many times 😔 nothing more insulting than returning from a 2k trip with a skep in your inventory and stumbling upon a hive only 100 meters from home
