Comparison of farming methods

Had a bit of time and decide to see how much more efficient (for space) is farming by single blocks of water in comparison to full stripes, here's the results:

and there is this, the V stair step plot.  a line of water.  a line of hoed dirt next to the water that covers a line of water underneath that is blocked into place 1 block lower by another line of hoed dirt that covers a line of water underneath.

stair down, and or stair up, making a V  that can be enclosed under glass for the greenhouse effect

Might be a wee bit better if the peak is in the middle of the field.  Less water wrangling involved.
