Vexxvididu Posted December 21, 2025 Report Posted December 21, 2025 See screen shot. I'm not far north or high up. Middle of june... still see patches of lake ice everywhere! No mods except for my greenhouse mod that shouldn't affect global weather at all. Is this normal?

The ice will eventually melt off completely in chunks that you frequently visit, since the chunks will be loaded long enough for the ice to melt thoroughly. But otherwise, lake ice is in kind of a goofy spot right now due to how slowly it melts, so it's not unusual to have random bits of ice in the summertime in areas that you're not frequently visiting. 1

Thanks, I just wanted to see if that's normal. I was thinking along those lines; that it only simulates if it's melting when you're around it. Maybe they need to implement a mass update to lake ice for chunks you ever visited on May 1st or something, haha.
