I like a lot of the cutesy small builds that i end up making, i feel a lot more satisfied with them, but given how I'll need to worry about food storage, animals, and smithing, I might plan out a bunch of small buildings that are specialized for what I need instead of one large base

Side note I love VS roofing now, I wanna try out the other woods from wildcraft trees combined with material needs color options but there's a lotta comments talking about how much RAM that mod eats up from all its assets. I have a beefy computer now but those comments still make me nervous about running it. Might instead try bricklayers or clayworks

It's normal, smaller builds are easier and can add more detail to them whilst bigger builds take more planning before even putting down the first block lol

tbh, because of that chances are I'm gonna make these very garish colored buildings to code what goes where

I'm loving your small build designs, they are lovely!

Vintage Story is thankfully far better designed for small builds than Minecraft is. You can get an impressive amount of stuff into quite a small house, and it really does feel like a game designed to encourage you to build smaller but denser builds than epic scale ones (though they can be cool too).

Depending on the kind of world I'm playing I vary between one big build and a small town, both have their advantages, so stick to what makes you happy :)

I absolutely love building little dwellings for villagers in Block Game. Seeing what's possible in VS has me motivated to eventually start a modded playthrough centered around building towns and infrastructure.

I kinda want to wait for the upcoming teased update before starting all over from scratch again. 😅
