TheTrueDoorMan Posted Saturday at 10:18 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:18 PM I just got my first little piglets spawned and i was wondering if i could kill their parents and they grow up just fine, or do they need to be alive for them to properly grow up
Solution Vexxvididu Posted Saturday at 11:57 PM Solution Report Posted Saturday at 11:57 PM Hi, and welcome to the forums! Baby animals in this game will seem to mature on their own without support. I think you really only need to feed animals to get them to breed. I've had baby animals trapped in a pit and abandoned still grow up!
LadyWYT Posted Sunday at 12:12 AM Report Posted Sunday at 12:12 AM Welcome to the forums! As @Vexxvididu already noted, baby animals don't need their parents in order to grow up, at least they don't as of the time of this writing. That may or may not change in a future update. Personally, I prefer to leave the adults alive until the babies have grown up, so I can cull the ones I don't need and ensure I still have enough breeding stock in the event of a tragedy. 14 minutes ago, Vexxvididu said: I think you really only need to feed animals to get them to breed. Breeding them or fattening them for slaughter. 2
