wags Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 New player here. Have been playing on a multiplayer hosted server and haven't had any issues loading onto that. I tried making my first single player world and it just gets stuck loading for 15-20 minutes circling through the same [Story Event] stuff. One time it showed the following: 13.2.206 10:48:02 [Error] Exception: Don't know how to instantiate inventory of class 'combatoverhaul:vanity' did you forget to register a mapping? Could anyone help me with this? I just want to play a vanilla single player run lol.
Solution Zane Mordien Posted February 13 Solution Report Posted February 13 (edited) That looks like you have a mod is loading and failing. Combat overhaul is definately a mod, so I would go back and check your mods and turn it off. Edited February 13 by Zane Mordien

Are you using mods? If you're trying to playing vanilla singleplayer, I'd recommend making sure that you have all mods(except the three game modules) turned off, or otherwise recommend cleaning out your mod folder of old/unused mods. If you're intending on a lightly modded game though, and Combat Overhaul is a mod you intend to use, I'd recommend checking that you have the correct dependencies for the mod installed, as well as the correct versions of mods for the game version you're playing. Mods made for older game versions will sometimes still work fine on newer versions, but it's always best to test them first to be sure before adding them to a world you actually intend to play.
