CelticFox99 Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 An issue that has already been mentioned before right here: Been a while since anyone talked about the issue there, but I'd like to know if it's still being investigated or if anyone else struggles with it, potentially found a fix, etc.
Teh Pizza Lady Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Computer nerd here and defacto IT person for my family. Make sure your firewall ports are open at your router and aren't in a list of blocked ports by your ISP. I had that issue with a map mod for the other block game and had to set up port forwarding to something my ISP would allow.
CelticFox99 Posted February 22 Author Report Posted February 22 I already have port forwarding enabled, unlocked my firewall, etc. I've tried everything I could find online
Oktin Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Try hosting server via executable in game directory, it'll load the last world used automatically If that's not enough disable any form of UPnP both in game and in your router
idiomcritter Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 diagnosing network issues can be a headache truly. things to check (and you might have already) The game uses an IP and Port (?) The OS (windows, mac, linux) have 'firewalls' *and* antivirus software that may need to be checked The router is another point that needs checking. ISP can also be an issue and thats for the server and each machine that is joining the server machine
Skala Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 For the life of me, I could not get firewalls/ports to be seen as "Open" by websites like canyouseeme.org, thus could never host my own VS server. I had to resort to a server host.
