Somersaurus Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I found a chief trader post, and I managed to save the dying crops on his roof and they're ready harvest however, because of the trader's land claim I can't just harvest them normally. I think killing the trader would remove the land claim, but I don't want to do that in case he has a good quest later on. I've tried turning off land claim but that didn't work and I don't have a bucket yet so I can't dump water the crops to harvest them. so, does anyone how to get rid of the land claim without killing the trader?
PoisonedPawn777 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago May be wrong but I don't think killing the trader removes the land claim, not that I've ever tried. I do know they respawn after a certain period of time. 1
PoisonedPawn777 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago If you've tried using the command and that hasn't worked you could try going into creative mode. I don't know how that would affect crop harvesting but I do know it allows you to break protected blocks. 1
Solution Mrozak Posted 6 hours ago Solution Report Posted 6 hours ago (edited) You can remove the claim by walking into the claimed area and using: /land adminfreehere source: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/List_of_server_commands#/land Edited 6 hours ago by Mrozak 1
PoisonedPawn777 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Quick test, command isn't working as intended. If you go into creative mode /gm 2, you can break the soil under the crop to receive the drop. If you break the crop itself it doesn't look like it drops anything. Then use /gm 1 to return to survival mode. Seems like the easiest way to circumnavigate the trader land claim.

Killing the trader does not remove the claim, and they should respawn after a while. However, they might still be angry. The only thing that killing traders really accomplishes is hurting yourself later down the line if they're still upset at you. 2 hours ago, Somersaurus said: so, does anyone how to get rid of the land claim without killing the trader? The easiest way might just be going into creative mode, since creative allows you to modify things regardless of land claims, like what @PoisonedPawn777 said.
