FRUIT TREE/CROP SEEDS questions.

i made the fruit tree greenhouse like the wiki said but i want to know some things.

1. can i plant ANY crops near the fruit trees?

2. as long as they are 1-2 blocks away from the base of the trunk will they be fine?

3. or will that be too close and interrupt the leaves growing cycles on the trees as they grow from a started trunk height of 1 log piece?

4. if yes to question and 1 and 2 do the crops gotta be short crops like carrots?

   or mid sized crops like grains?

   or tall sized crops like sunflowers?

5.also does the number given for the greenhouse or anything refer to the interior only or does it include the "shell" of the building. as in a measurement of a greenhouse it said a greenhouse of 14X14X14 size fits 5 fruit trees. 1 in each corner and 1 in the center. does that 14X14X14 count the roof/floor/walls or just the air space inside the building?

i am just trying to plant as much crap as possible to feed all my animals and me so i don't wanna waste the extra space in the enclosed greenhouse if i can use it for stuff. i play SOLO so i have nobody to ask this stuff too.

I have often, in previous versions, surrounded my fruit trees with eight blueberry bushes, but I think that might stunt their growth by affecting where the fruit tree thinks it can grow a leaf block - certainly, the fruit trees without the bush ring grew much faster. It may be that crops would do the same thing, I dunno. Of course, once the tree has grown tall enough that there weren't going to be more leaf blocks near the bottom the berries can be put back with no problem.

I've not played on the release candidates, so I don't know how soil nutrients might have changed, but I'd bet that using the nutrients in one block doesn't affect its neighbors.

The problem with crops is that they need transparent blocks above them - the fruit tree's leaf blocks might count, but its branches surely won't.

The devs rarely post on the forums and never to answer a question posted in the questions forum.  The player base is sufficiently knowledgeable about the game to provide answers to pretty much any question that can be posed.

i CURRENTLY use stable version 1.21.6 so nutrients for berries don't matter yet.
