blauertee Posted April 19 Report Posted April 19 When playing as a small group on a community server it can be hard not to feel like you're missing out if you have less time to in game than others. I'd love it if you could just set a maximum weekly play time for everyone to aid with that. I know this is a tiny quality of life thing but I guess implementing this is just an hour of work. PS: The search feature in the forum seems to be broken (or i couldn't figure out how to probably use it). Searching for "limit time" gives me 127 pages of results with everything including the words limit or time. Following the suggestion and searching for limit AND time now also yields everything that includes the word "and" suggesting I should search for "limit AND AND AND time". So I hope this is not a dupe since I wasn't able to really check (besides using a general search engine).

The best way to achieve this is probably to schedule specific times for everyone to play, much like a dedicated tabletop game night, and shut down the server outside of those times.

This would also make the progression of seasons feel better, since missing a couple days wouldn't immediately put you in winter like it would on a 24/7 server.

Yeah sure, that's the way we're doing it right now, but having the option for everyone to just play a little by themselves, do like a few tedious things etc. would be really nice but controlling that by a limit. Ooohhh I thought that servers just freeze time when no one is online is that not the case and not controllable? That would be the more important feature for me then

That would be the more important feature for me then It depends on the server settings. Time can be set to always be passing, or only pass when a player is logged. If the server is very large though, with players across multiple time zones/different schedules, the latter won't be much help given that there's pretty much always going to be someone online.
