Orchidrose Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago My friends and I play a shared world but recently hosting from the lan -> internet has failed for my friend group - we're looking into hosting on one of the recommended servers but we enjoy playing multiplayer sessionwise rather then having something running 24/7. Is there any recommended ways for doing this? Thanks in advance for any advice!

As long as your friends have self control and only play together then it will be the same as playing on the a LAN. The server will be up 24/7, but just set a password and no one else can log into it.
