Death has an interesting interaction with the system that lets you change your respawn point in the Standard game mode. Besides reducing your nutrition and making you drop what you are carrying on default settings, once you start changing your spawn point, dying will reduce the number of respawns you have at that new spawn point. This will become significant if you want to travel away from world spawn, and there are many reasons you may be motivated to do that. Edited yesterday at 05:16 PM by DarkGold
