Since I keep playing as a kind of hunter pretty much every time, I keep throwing spears all over the place, but I keep losing track of my spears while hunting things that need like 4 hits from thrown spears to take down. Since I need to keep track of both my spears and the thing I'm hunting, my prey usually gets away most of the time, and my spears get lost so often that I don't ever want to use higher grade spears for the job.

As such I'd love for the spears to have some kind of colored tassels attached the hafts at the opposite end of the tip, or me having some kind of option of attaching something simple but highly visible to them, a red ribbon for example.

This is I believe something actual hunters also did back in the day when spear hunting was still a thing and for the same reasons pretty much, tho it also made the target more visible if the spear stuck to the target but this doesn't happen in VS.

Seems like a relatively simple fix, I would think, and for players like me who can't always distinguish colors clearly(I have a bit of deuteronopia), it would be a welcome addition, and it doesn't break immersion.

Yeah, losing the metal bladed spears really doesnt sound too fun. I've lost hours of my life looking for my flat laying colorful arrows irl, so I already feel deep connection to the fury of my ancestors.

There could be more separation between proper sturdy spears for keeping enemies at range and more expendable throwing spears. Perhaps at the smithing level, so that the throwing blades get more output per ingot, like arrows. And there is plenty of room for a proper hunting update too, that I wouldn't be surprised to see in the future. That would be fun even after stone age and domestication.

losing arrow in the grass is a standard experience for any archer XD

It's most likely the purpose of those crescent moon arrowheads we find occasionally, they get stuck on the soil so are easy to find afterwards
