  1. oh that's interesting, could be a bug of some kind. I haven't passed the first winter yet on my latest playthrough so idk if it's a ''resetting'' thing but it's not improbable, I might test it out later to be sure!
  2. I didn't do anything of the sort man, calm down Doesn't make them more true either, you seem to be the only one whos convinced of this ''truth'' But it would be fine if we had fruit crops that we could plant like tomatoes? Instead of the ones we can already plant like berries and trees?
  3. Huh? Gathering foods is a pain in the ass? That's a strange thing to say considering it's most of the gameplay loop
  4. Well you're acting like fruit bushes aren't extremely prolific, unless it's dead of winter you'll have ample access to fruit most anywhere by just walking around
  5. I think fruits are confined to whatever tastes good in a fruit salad
  6. By that logic a sugarbeet or sugarcane should also be classified as a fruit, I thought you were concerened with botanical definition? You can't pick and choose where things apply my friend, either science is important in classifying food types or it isn't
  7. You don't get seeds from them, you need to collect and plant cuttings from bushes or fruit tree branches
  8. I'm not sure what you mean by that, there are 20+ types of fruit in the game you can farm if you wish. More is always fine of course but it's not like there is currently a lack of fruits
  9. this is correct but so are pumpkins, which are vegetables in game cassava are vegetables but in game can be eaten as grain soybeans are fruit irl but don't count as fruit in game sunflower seeds are fruit but in game they are grain honey is none of those but in game it's a fruit point being: clearly the scientific classification isn't a concern for the devs, foods in game are classified by vibes, not science
  10. see if you can remake the setup exactly in creative and speed up time with: /time speed [0-9999] (default speed is 60 so setting it higher than that will speed up time)
  11. I assume you want to make rot? I usually just place things on the floor somewhere but yeah composting stuff is a process that takes quite a while regardless. Keep them in a storage box for ever and ever until the heatdeath of the universe... If you don't wanna wait that long then yeah just plant them somewhere or toss em
  12. I never tested it so I'm not sure but I feel like sleeping increases healing rate aswell, but that might just be a lot of time passing quickly. I often use the sleeping mechanic to nullify the effects of things like alcohol; slam down a bunch of wine to get your hunger and fruit lvls up and go to bed right after so you don't have to deal with the drunkness.
  13. Don't tomatoes grow on bushes? edit: I looked it up and you right they don't, cherry tomatoes kinda grow on bushes but regular tomatoes are somewhere between a bush and a tree it seems lol
  14. Well I never have but I wouldn't say I'd find that too great of an investment personally, when I get steel going I can easily make loads so I usually do
