  1. When it comes to decorating armor pieces with stuff like that, this is apparently work in progress. See the armor rework concept art. I quite like that idea. I just like the cool factor in games, decorating, doing stuff just for enjoyment.
  2. I wouldn't even say PT was overly successful with his iron so far. His first attempt at an iron blade was probably the best. Jumping straight into iron from bushcraft, not having access to the supply chain and bronze industry, even resources available in his land, a lot of mess ups are to be expected, but recording all that is valuable.
  3. Yeah I recently saw a video with bog iron similar to that of PT, and his results were a bit better. Some said it's fake, others that he had better quality resources. Real shame that these videos got such a bad rep, because it's such a good concept.
  4. I'm distrustful of anything that isn't Primitive Technology. This stuff was too ripe for fake slop even before AI.
  5. I think the Twilight Princess system was ported to Abiotic Factor and it was pretty fun. I'm ok with more systems, but there will be so much whining ang crying, like with trees and berry bushes.
  6. Aside from disable mods and try fresh, are they dropping anything? Drops sometimes get stuck being invisible for some reason, but mostly for a single mob.
  7. The whole point of water is to dissolve dirt and sink heavier elements. Also panning is for bootstrapping your copper production with a chance of some goodies, not for passive income.
  8. 80 hours is rookie numbers bro you gotta pump those numbers up. Honestly I'm quite happy with how much there is to do in the game, but I can understand it can feel a bit time consuming. If I was shorter on time I would've definitely bounced off of a few games lately.
  9. Is the lack of clay a gravel/desert thing? Peat and clay are usually pretty bountiful in average grassy fields with some ponds, but I noticed getting spawned in a barren biome is kind of a bad experience, especially for newcomers.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if the fireplace stopped working because you went too far and the chunk unloaded. Some things tend to stop updating in distance.
  11. I ate a carrot once and since then my life is a neverending cycle of withdrawal and pain. But for real, hunger rate increases with the environment temperature. You will be burning through food faster when outside especially running and frolicking, even fully dripped out in fur. You can see this change in you character sheet as you enter a properly constructed room.
  12. Yeah, losing the metal bladed spears really doesnt sound too fun. I've lost hours of my life looking for my flat laying colorful arrows irl, so I already feel deep connection to the fury of my ancestors. There could be more separation between proper sturdy spears for keeping enemies at range and more expendable throwing spears. Perhaps at the smithing level, so that the throwing blades get more output per ingot, like arrows. And there is plenty of room for a proper hunting update too, that I wouldn't be surprised to see in the future. That would be fun even after stone age and domestication.
  13. There's also blue wattle and daub. Maybe this one will suit you.
  14. tldr: you need to break it down into copper bits with a chisel in crafting grid. However yeah, some info in the handbook seems to be wrong.
