Alelurak Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago I can play the actual game fine. Let me preface this by saying 100% I love this game. If I wanted to have normal world gen with creative enabled, I go into "customize" as you would, and I can change the settings fine, but for some reason, I can't figure out how to save my customizations and get out of the menu. I've tried escape, I've tried right clicking, I've used the "back" button on my mouse. I've clicked outside of the menu itself. I am confused. If this is an easy fix just let me know, but attached is what it looks like for me. Yes I've scrolled "to the bottom". The screen stops scrolling at a point, and there are no buttons at that point. If there is a mod that fixes this I'd like to know thanks

The menu definitely isn't supposed to look like that. What operating system are you playing on? Have you messed with the graphical settings at all, either in the game or on your computer? I'm assuming this is the vanilla client, but just to be sure, have you installed any mods?
Professor Dragon Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Also try going to Settings, Graphics, Windowed Mode, "Windowed" and see if that allows you to see the full menus.
Novadegree Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Google says this, and says method 2 is the prime choice if you can't click any buttons. Quote METHOD 1: THE QUICK FIX (IF MENUS ARE STILL CLICKABLE) -------------------------------------------------- 1. Go to "Settings" from the main main menu. 2. Click on the "Interface" tab. 3. Find the "GUI Scale" slider and lower it to "1.0x" or "auto". METHOD 2: EDITING CLIENTSETTINGS.JSON (IF MENUS ARE BROKEN/OFF-SCREEN) -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Completely close Vintage Story. 2. Press Windows Key + R, type "%appdata%" (without quotes), and press Enter. 3. Open the "Vintagestory" folder. 4. Right-click the "clientsettings.json" file and open it with Notepad. 5. Press Ctrl + F, type "guiScale", and locate that line. 6. Change the number next to it to 1 so it looks like: "guiScale": 1, 7. Save the file (Ctrl + S) and restart the game. METHOD 3: WINDOWS HIGH DPI OVERRIDE (TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Right-click the Vintage Story shortcut or game .exe file and select "Properties". 2. Go to the "Compatibility" tab. 3. Click "Change high DPI settings". 4. Check the box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior". 5. Change the "Scaling performed by:" drop-down menu to "Application". 6. Click OK, then Apply. Sorry I couldn't offer any advice other than google. 1

My luck with computers..........is.......... not ideal. 3 hours ago, Professor Dragon said: Also try going to Settings, Graphics, Windowed Mode, "Windowed" and see if that allows you to see the full menus. Alelurak Posted 8 hours ago Author Report Posted 8 hours ago Fixed! GUI scale was the problem, not a programming issue, so problem likely existed between keyboard and chair. Thanks again. Here I was thinking I'd have to do a whole thing about it. 1 1
