Mark Watton Posted Wednesday at 03:28 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:28 PM Is there anything beyond poor pit kiln placement or intentionally starting a fire with a torch that will start a wildfire? (RIP two stacks of cattail roots) I wanna build with planks.
availableAvangarda Posted Wednesday at 04:33 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:33 PM lightning can start a fire if the setting is enabled
LadyWYT Posted Thursday at 01:39 AM Report Posted Thursday at 01:39 AM Lightning is the only thing that I'm aware of, however, you need to have that setting enabled first in order for lightning to be able to start fires. 10 hours ago, Mark Watton said: I wanna build with planks. Even with the lightning fires enabled though, a well-placed lightning rod(s) should prevent that kind of fire from occurring. The only way your house would burn down is if you intentionally burned it down yourself, you accidentally started a fire nearby, or a wildfire was otherwise already burning out of control elsewhere and swept through your area. 1

Otherwise fire spreading is usually a matter of not surveying your area or building a little too close to planks or wood
