Updating existing game after new version released

How do you update the game after a new version is available?  Do you uninstall the current version and install the new version or simply run the installer and it overwrites the existing game and binaries?

You can do both. There is an update installer and a full installer available for download. Choose whichever suits your tastes.

Personally, I always download the full installer, since I keep multiple versions of the game in parallel (don't want to lose old worlds I have put a lot of work in, but still want to see new features that require new worlds).
