Do you uninstall the current version and install the new version or simply run the installer and it overwrites the existing game and binaries? Choose whichever suits your tastes. Personally, I always download the full installer, since I keep multiple versions of the game in parallel (don't want to lose old worlds I have put a lot of work in, but still want to see new features that require new worlds).
