Ivan Stamenov
I'd really love the ability to see more than 2 ft. away with lantern in my hand when a mist falls and I am in my in-game home... Currently the mist is the only thing which stops me from building my base high in the mountains. The game already has the ability to determine what is considered a room and what - not?
Screwy
Yes, but rendering a different fog density depending on being indoors or not is difficult, though. The room checking is quite not precise and when you look outside a window, fog should still be visible. That's a bit tricky and to much work for a rather unnecessary effect. Sorry for reviving this thread in such a disappointing way

Neil Herbert
I actually don't like my cellars misty, the bottom of mineshafts glowing white and glowing lakes because they have mist on the lake bed. For this reason I reverted back to 1.15.7 from 1.15.9 and that's where I'm stuck till they fix it or add a means of disabling it
