  1. Scares me everytime I come up from my basement. I don't even have armor to put on it :c
  2. I noticed picking Orange+Pickaxe autofills the waypoint name with "Copper". I think it'd be super cool if we had a lot more of these defaults. For example, Amber (yellowish-orange) + pine tree = resin. Also, does anyone know if these special names are listed anywhere? Typing out waypoint names is such a chore I'll take any shortcut I can (Outside of mods, totes grabbing an automap mod next playthrough tho).
  3. I found it useful whenever I get unlucky with wild plant spawns to quickly get an early yield of a crop I only have like, 1 seed of. And it's not like you can't use both tactics simultaneously.
  4. A fantastic idea. Not sure how it'll play out balance-wise to have easy access to fertilizer, but that's a problem for other folks to figure.
  5. Perhaps "Viable" is the wrong word to use then. How about just "Cooler" or "At pace" with other weapon options.
  6. I really like the feeling of chuckin' spears at my enemies. Anything to boost its viability as the ages progress would be cool with me. I am surprised we can't produce a better spear outside of raw damage values. It's weird we've got this bowstave that's only used for longbows, so you'd think we'd be able to craft a similar staff for spears, providing at least an accuracy bonus that is currently lacking in the standard metal spears. Could call them "Javelins" to avoid confusion. But I worry that might be tangential to the core suggestion here, which isn't about making spears more viable in the late game, but being able to carry a lot more of them in the early game, no?
  7. Not a bad idea, my only concern is that this would make finding fruit trees harder.
  8. My world is also replete with skeletons. I second this notion.
  9. Ah, getting drunk and mining, the DRG Experience.
  10. Same here. I'm a regular teetotaler so it would have to impart a serious buff for me to put up with the effects. Unless they plan on adding some kind of mental system like Rimworld, it would have to give a boost to melee and some damage mitigation. And a warming effect, of course, for those cold winter nights.
  11. Ah, I was unaware such a place existed. There's parts of the map that don't get winters/summers?
  12. I think it'd be cool if placing a block of bone soil below a piece of farmland upgrades it by 1 tier, maxing out at high quality if need be.
  13. Or combine them. If you have enough rep with a trader and a spare Wooden bed, you can ask them to come live with you. So you can set up your own private market.
  14. Another way to approach this is to have a buff that occurs when you're at the optimal temperature. So instead of punishing players you reward them. Taking a dip when its hot out and getting a nice "refreshed" buff would be cool, no? Tangentially, I would also like a visual/diagetic way of knowing its hot out, like with a vignette or something? The only way I know it's hot out is when my plants suffer or my food spoils faster. OH maybe we could get those weird wibbly wobbles in the distance when it gets hot, like mirages.
  15. Being able to upgrade to metal pans that increase panning speed, or drop chance, or yield would be pretty nice. I enjoy panning. It's probably my favorite activity to do when its dark outside, and it scratches the same itch that ol' rod and tackle fishing usually hits. Which is why I'm surprised this hasn't been suggested before (maybe I didn't look hard enough?) but I think it'd be cool if you could upgrade from the wooden pan to different metal pans so that as you advance through the ages, panning is able to stay a bit more relevant. Doesn't need to be a big leap or anything, I know there's mods out there for stuff like an Auto-shifter and sluices, but I would still enjoy being able to spend an evening panning in my custom-built panning zone (Colloquially known as "Pan Land"). If anyone knows of a mod that does this let me know. I've searched for some but all I find are either mods that change the soil/drop tables or add auto-panning technology and that's like, too far out man.
