  1. Hi everyone! I play Vintage Story with a lot of mods and run a small server for friends. I got tired of checking every mod for updates by hand, copying zips around and connecting to the server just to restart it, so I made eViSTool: one window for your mods and your dedicated server. It's free, open source (GPL-3.0) and portable: unzip it anywhere and run it. For players - Check all your mods for updates at once, update one or all of them, and roll back if an update breaks something. The History tab groups changes by game launch, so you can put back everything you updated this morning in one click. - Warnings before things go wrong: missing or outdated dependencies (one button fixes them), duplicate mods, versions for another game branch. - Profiles: separate mod sets for different servers or a test setup, each with its own mods, settings and worlds. - Mod settings as a form instead of hand-editing JSON, with every save undoable. - Share your mods with a code: one line like EV1-… gives a friend the same mods in the same versions straight from the ModDB. - When the game crashes, eViSTool reads the logs and tells you which mod is most likely to blame. The whole ModDB is inside the app: search, filters, screenshots, all releases, and one-click install with dependencies. For server owners - Live console with command hints (including commands added by mods), start/stop/restart, auto-restart after a crash. - Scheduled backups with cleanup and one-click restore, scheduled restarts with chat warnings. - Players: roles, whitelist, bans; a proper editor for serverconfig.json. - Notifications to Telegram, Discord, ntfy or any webhook: crashes (with the likely mod), failed backups, mod updates, low disk space, players joining. - On Linux the server side runs as a systemd service without a window. Manage a server on another PC (a spare machine, a VM, a rented box) with a single connection code. The connection is encrypted, and a journal shows who did what with the server: who was added to the whitelist, which config values changed, which mod was updated. Passwords and tokens never go into it. Downloads - Windows: https://mods.vintagestory.at/evistoolwin - Linux (the window for players and the server agent in one archive): https://mods.vintagestory.at/evistoollinux - Source code and releases: https://github.com/erneywhite/eViSTool The interface is in English and Russian. eViSTool updates itself from the About tab. It's still version 0.x, so if something doesn't work or you have an idea, I'd love to hear it here or on GitHub Issues: https://github.com/erneywhite/eViSTool/issues Thanks for reading, and have fun with your mods!
