This server has made it's humble start, with 5 players signing on when it went live. I'm at 12 applicants currently, but the server stays open to join at any time.

This server will open on Saturday, around the European evening. I am taking whitelist applications in the meantime. The launch will be announced on Matrix and Discord.

With this server I will keep the same world going for as long as is feasible. Players can hop on and hobble along at their own pace and all skill levels are welcome. The server is lightly modded, for long-term maintainability and to keep the vanilla feel. But to keep things interesting, the spawnpoint is in a hot climate, generation settings are tuned for smaller oceans and rare floating islands are around. There are also a few quality of life changes, such as a reduced spoilage rate, 10k polar-equator distance and some QoL mods. Based in Europe (NL), this self-host has a low-latency fibre connection and redundant backups. I will not make bold performance claims as my current hardware is ageing, but reliable. And my running costs are negligible, so there is no use it or loose it push for activity. It started with interest from the Better than Adventure community in a communal server. But like my BTA server, the whitelist applications are open to all. And if it develops similarly, the community gets a highschool friend circle like and chilled out atmosphere. A laid-back Vanilla server allowing for long-term, on-and-off play. Open to players of all skill levels, do mind that activity may be low. World resets are avoided, if one does become necessary a world download will be released. The server version and activity are found at vs.wyvern.red (updates when refreshed). Standard (Survival) Playstyle, with very minor (QoL) tweaks: - Item despawn times are greatly increased. - Polar-Equator distance is reduced to 10K blocks. - Block gravity is enabled on sand, gravel and soil with sideways instability. Otherwise all 1.18.1 default settings (some of which have been changed in updates). The main language is English, but you are welcome to make groups in other languages. Based in Europe (NL), the server has a low-latency, reliable connection and high uptime. On a weekly basis, game updates are applied and a (private) world backup gets made. The server is organised through Discord, where you gain access after (manual) verification.
