  1. Copy. Copy existing builds 1 to 1. It's a massive trap for new people trying anything creative and going in blind without any experience. Find pictures of builds you like. And recreate them, or mix few together. After few builds you will start getting the idea what works and what makes buildings look good and so on. And then it will be much much much easier to build something nice by yourself.
  2. I'm pretty sure crops stop growing at 0 C. and if its 2 C outside they only grow at 20% speed. So that may be the reason they take forever.
  3. Biggest time sink in this game is time itself. Just waiting for seasons and years to pass. Having more chores to chose from to fill the time the better gameplay is. Having your quern spining at mach 4 and grinding stack of grains in seconds was neither interesting or immersive. You do that and then what? Berry bushes had 0 interaction or gameplay. You pick one and plant near your home and thats it. The same with fat. And i think using firepit to cook, boil things other than food is underutilized. The same with smithing. I want more general items to require smithing not just tools/armor and ocasional nails.
  4. With fishing coming in 1.22 i got realy excited, but then realised it means spending time near or on top of vintage story bodies of water. Which in my opinion isnt very pleasant to be around. And only issue for me is they are way to deep. Any bigger lake is usually almost vertical or just straight up drop of into abyss. Usually there is no shoreline to wander around. Oceans somehow is even scarier. With how big they are, especialy if you play with lower landcover, even 500 block wide slow descent to y20 wouldnt feel out of place. I just wish we had 5-7 block deep shoreline with fishes and corals etc to be rafting around and fishing.
