The game outright states that its like 730 something. Are you kidding me here? Like last time, i wasnt arguing about the damn real life accuracy of this shit, i was talking about the raw game mechanic, in the game! No wonder i blow a gasket every time i talk to you. Its lower than 900C. Reaching this temperature lets me work the iron. This temperature is lower than the temperature of peat. Therefore i should be able to use peat to get it to this temperature or higher. I dont give TWO SHITS about how it works in real life! Please... I beg you. I dont want to be a dick but you are a pain in the ass. Please go away.

Ugh...... Ok. I am not trying to melt, iron, for which the temperature is circa 1400 celsius. Yes, i know. Thanks for telling me. Im trying to soften it. For which the temperature is like what, 730? I appreciate the response, but this is not what im talking about at all. Edit: I have been talking about the forge, all this time. Do you turn iron ore into iron blooms/ingots, on the forge? No. I swear i cant make up my mind if i have communication problems when its only like 1 out of 500 people who are incapable of understanding what im saying, and those people are always doing this, consistently, every time. Surely the problem isnt in me if its the same, ultra low amount amount of people, every time. Surely this isnt my fault.....

Leave out specific chunks when using /wgen regen

How exactly does vacuum compact the database? What is it getting rid of?

The mod i meant is smeltable ingots. Lets me smelt stuff back into molten materials. Problem is, it doesnt support iron for some reason. With copper ingots i can just stuff them into the crucible with this, use peat to heat it and it'll be workable, and the only reason i cant do that with iron is that the crucible doesnt accept it. Letting me put peat into the forge is a better solution anyway because: 1: Its the immersive way of doing things 2: It gets hot enough to get iron workable, but i cant do that because of artificial limitations by the game, like not letting me put peat into the forge. I want that limitation gone Its not so much about the effort, as keeping the interactability of the game, and the immersion. Edit: I was wrong, the aforementioned mod does let me melt ingots, but not blooms or partially finished blooms, which is my problem. Either way, letting the player use peat to heat things that have a workability temperature lower than 900C is the correct solution here, hence why i want to make that a reality.

I hate that i cannot put peat and firewood into it. There is literally 0 reason why i cant use peat to heat up my ingots, other than artificial limitations by the game. Right now, with the forge mod im using that lets me smelt the ingots back into their molten form, works, but not for iron, and i just ended up with a bunch of iron blooms and ingots that could be reheated with peat, except that the forge doesnt accept that, and now i am pissed i have to use my precious charcoal on this. Making charcoal takes so much effort and its used up so fast god damnit.

Iron bloom didnt spawn with enough voxels to finish the thing

Does the glue actually 'repair' broken clutter?
NastyFlytrap replied to NastyFlytrap's topic in Questions
I understand that, but i havent found a piece of clutter that looked good. If i did i'd put in the effort but this is all just rubble. As far as i know, it doesnt let you remove wallpaper, which is a real shame. For that i might even do it. -
Does the glue actually 'repair' broken clutter?
NastyFlytrap replied to NastyFlytrap's topic in Questions
I am not sure why finding clutter is exciting, although i do enjoy exploring the ruins, particularly the ones underground because those have some substance to them. Also, i wish the glue mechanic would outright repair the items. Getting aged chandeliers and chutes, and beds, ladders, whatever else, for the monumental effort that collecting all that charcoal and resin is, would be neat. -
Does the glue actually 'repair' broken clutter?
NastyFlytrap replied to NastyFlytrap's topic in Questions
Well thats dumb. If i cant repair a broken bed into a working aged bed then i dont see a reason to care Thanks! -
I know it says it 'repairs it', but does it only let me pick up the clutter, so i can put it back down in the exact same form, or does it transform a broken chute, or a bed, into its usable variant?

Is there any 'progression' in terms of cellar effectiveness?
NastyFlytrap replied to NastyFlytrap's topic in Questions
Okay but it does matter. The wiki explicitly state that if you mix materials you get penalized, so which one is best Where is the game logic that defines the effectiveness? -
Lovely, interesting or just plain bizarre landscapes

41 in the discworld series? I heard good things, but god damn. That sounds more like everything he wrote -

NastyFlytrap replied to Maelstrom's topic in Videos, Art or Screenshots
@Maelstrom In some, mostly asian mythologies, the world is just an island on top of a massive turtle, and i always liked that concept -
It'd be pretty cool if we could craft paintings immersively by creating a canvas stand, and a canvas, putting the canvas on the stand, and then the game using the forge selection GUI to let us pick which in-game painting we want to make, and then giving us one of those stitching guides where a number represents a colour and we have to put individual dye colours on the voxels of the canvas, and when we put every colour in the correct place it'd give us the finished painting as an item we could hang. Or have an option in the GUI for us to paint whatever we want and then we can just press a button to transform the canvas on the stand to an item we can hang. Hell, let us make different sizes of canvas .....Great mod idea too, now that i think about it. Wish i knew how to code something like this.

To be fair, that is a great feeling, but im still not decided if i'd have it work properly and lose both the good and the bad parts of this, or just have it like this.

Woah, that is really cool! You should build a giant turtle under that so it can wear the island on top of its shell! -

OMG, that looks like Odin's floating fortress from the second atlantis movie! So cool! -
I have had my javelin jank a wolf directly into me(which proceeded to tear m throat out....), so a stone bouncing off a knife thats being used to stab, doesnt seem outlandish to me. The collisions in this game can be a special kind of jank. I would be lying if i wasnt upset after i poked a wolf trying to bite me, and have the wolf absorb the spear, not take damage, and attach itself to it when i pulled it back.

Its so much effort to make them look good, and even just making them useful for practical purposes its not an insignificant amount of effort. Im sticking to my 'year one dirt hut to year two mansion' progression for now.

Didnt know noclip meant you could shoot gamma rays from your eyes. Oh well, thats pretty neat. Thanks!
