    Bumping this, because I'm on fedora 42 and this super helped me install net 7. Ran instantly. The command I used was sudo DNF_VAR_releasever=39 dnf install dotnet-runtime-7.0 Do note that we're installing the runtime, not the sdk. Unless you want to develop things with net7, all you need is the runtime. SDK (software development kit) is for developers.

    All I can say is that it worked for me. I have 16g of ram, and am on ubuntu linux 24.04. It's certainly a new issue (for 1.20), and not something that's supposed to be happening. It does occasionally happen to me when the browser is closed, but much less often. IMO it's RAM related, but it's more of a symptom than the sickness.

    I checked the discord, and it appears it's a RAM issue. Game wants too much, doesn't have enough, so it freezes to free up ram so it can keep going. I closed my browser while playing and it fixed the issue for me.
