    For French-speaking players

I started translating the mod, but it's long and I don't have much time (or the courage) to work on it every day. However, I translated the entire guide which allows you to have the recipes and instructions in French. The current translation is on Crowdin, if ever... ;)

Thank you! I'll get this into the next version.

Am having a bit of trouble with the seed oil. Not sure if I just have to wait a certain period of time (where the fruit is instant) and have tried different containers but it won't release the oil. I can pull the wet mash out, can't treat it like honeycombs to force it into a container. Am I missing something?

The fruit press won't make anything unless it has an output of at LEAST 5 liters. You need to add more seeds.

I'm your huckleberry!  Mod Spotlight Video Part 1 and 2 coming soon

I fear you may need to do more parts, or have some really long videos. This mod is more in-depth than even I realize sometimes. Feel free to PM me with any questions you might have.

Just for funsies I tried cooking the one pasta to see what would happen and it did cook, I'll try with the bone broth again but that one never got the arrow going

That visual bug should be fixed in the upcoming release of A Culinary Artillery. Apparently I commented that display functionality out and never realized it. Oops!

why cant we liquify hardened lard again? or use it as-is in all recipes, at least if you heat it, it should melt easiely...

..whats the reason for hardened lard anyway, just use oil for crafting..??

That was a request from @ruggbean to help out with his More Candles mod. It was mostly his idea and I followed his lead. I think hardened lard stores a bit easier as well - you can fit 64 Ls of hardened lard into a single block's space, as opposed to the 50 Ls you'd get from storing it in a cauldron, and that isn't getting into chests or crates. So yes, it is mostly just for crafting stuff.
That being said, I do take suggestions, even if it takes me a while to get around to actually implementing them. My to-do list isn't going anywhere. Adding a new simmer recipe for water + hardened lard to turn it back into regular lard would be trivial... I'm just not sure if that's how it actually works. 😅

It would be really nice for discoverability if the mixing bowl recipes were in the handbook.

It sure would be, but maintaining the code for the recipes is hard enough on its own. Someone with more talent than I would have to write a way to visualize EF recipes in the handbook - some of the ingredient lists are STUPIDLY long.

  5. Hello! Sorry for the radio silence, the holidays hit and I got a new computer. Tried moving all my mod workspaces from Windows 7 over to Linux and that could've gone better, so I had to stop modding for a while while I got my old computer set up again. You know how life is!

Anyway, I'm all set up again and I've been getting a lot of assistance updating ACA over Discord. The helpfulness of this community never stops putting a smile on my face. A lot of bugs/visual issues will be fixed and I plan on releasing a 1.19+ version this weekend. I still need to get the cookware trader to spawn properly, but that can wait for its own update.

any particular reason this mod makes scrambled eggs no longer possible? thats a staple of vanilla recipes and shouldnt have been removed at all. makes me not even want to use the mod

They are still possible, and the meal has actually been buffed. You just need to crack the eggs first.

Can't make scrambled eggs with shell in it, y'know?

    How  though?

We've tried every combination of possible pie fillings in the mixing bowl, and none of them have shown any hint of being useful?

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Pies aren't supposed to be made in the mixing bowl.

Anyone else having issues making pies?

When i put the 2 dough on the table to make the pie, the dough remains in my inventory as a phantom item. If i try to fill the pie and pick it up, the pie disappears and when i pick the dough and filling items off my hotbar the numbers revert back to before i put them on the table.

I have made it work before but i cant figure out the correct sequence of events to work around it.

Try logging out and logging back in. This was fixed a while back and seems to have come up again recently.

Weird request but, could you make things like chopped/breaded/cooked mushrooms & vegetables inherit their food type from vanilla in any way? it would make patching them for this mod much, much easier (Working on a mod that swaps Mushrooms to Protein instead of Vegetables, which is both realistic and helps make them not just worse vegetables; but covering this mod's deluge of related mushroom foods is...laborious)

Not... really. Not without creating some kind of new food item class or attributes or something crazy.

    Using 1.0.15 on 1.18.15
Just a question I didn't see asked: Can I make broth in a cauldron? The animation and sound started, but the arrow does not fill and it does not tell me it will create a product. After 8 firewood I did not want to keep wasting fuel if the answer is no.

Yes, it should be 1 L of water per 1 bone.

    • Thanks 1
  10. It would be quite a bit of work, you would need to create the meat types, then make patches to remove the existing meat drops and replace them with your own, for each animal. I think I've seen people try it before, but it's never gone anywhere. I don't think it would require any C#, but I could be mistaken.

Hi there, I have been looking for a how to guide on how to really get started with the mod, I have both cauldrons, the sauce pan, the rolling pin a couplebottles. I've just set up my new kitchen in my new house. I'm really excited to play around with what I can make, but its hard to do that with out any help from the handbook(minus the existing guides) on recipies for the grid, as well as how to use the cauldrons and saucepan, specifically, as I've made them, but can't seem to figure out how to actually make food in them. I've made bone broth, and thats it. Is there a subreddit? Or a guide page somewhere im not seeing? Like a base formula for the order of ingredient types per utility item is all id need.

I.e., Cooking pot: first two slots grain, next slot can be fruit, meat or veg, last slot can be fruit, meat, or  veg. Alternatively you can make jams by....etc

When do you think you could add handbook recipes?

From what I have made out of the cooking pot, I'm super stoked to keep going, and I think the work you have put into it is astounding and wonderful, and I don't wanna come off as ungrateful, I'm just a lil dumb sometimes. :3

I suspect you meant to post this in the Expanded Foods thread? You should see pictures for all of the foods there. :D
