  1. Would be nice especially in the steam punk late game that is coming eventually.
  2. Depends not all bears hibernate during winter, most will but some will still be out and about. it should be their spawn rate is cut in half during winter not removed out right.
  3. So late game kitchen item that would be a godsend for cooks but a pain in the butt for the smith to make.
  4. Starting in the age of caves those who know how to control fire are often a key part of a tribe, moving on their part is move involved from using fire to revitalize land after a crop is grown (field burning to help with rotating crops) to knowing when and how to make fire traps. The fire keeper is unique in that don't excel at any crafting but instead at using flames and making things with fire. Class features. Burn master: (revitalize soil by burning wood or crops above it to return carbon and other materials.) Fire collection: (gains more materials from fire like charcol uses less fuel when maintaining fires.) Fire sight: (light sources built by a fire keeper have 100% greater light output.) Ancient flame: (unique crafting, flamethrower and ever burn tar. both have industrial and combat uses) Burned sight: (Dark areas are even darker for them can't see under ground with out lights nearby.) Nervous (-15% melee damage) Claustrophobic (-15% ore drop rate, -10% mining speed)
  5. didn't even notice that one while looking. Edit: that mod no longer works.
  6. Because some times it would be funny to play an anthro rabbit or fox. These would have height differences but that is about it and purely because of the armors these differences are just outward cosmetic. except neither can wear a helmet.
  7. Was told guns would never be a thing so got to thinking. I like ranged projectile weapons a lot, how about steam cannons and other steam powered weapons, these would require air pressure to use and would require recharging but allows for some heavy use in combat even un powered most steam weapons would deal ok damage. FUNCTION All steam weapons require "air pressure" is provided via either a compressed air tank which can be replaced to "reload" the weapon, or a steam engine, tanks require an air compressor while engines just require water and a fire source (coal). All steam weapons can be crafted to take either and easily swapped between the two. Compressed air tanks are better for one off items while steam engines are better for sustained. note: air tanks require steel some sort of valve and something to seal them. steam engines require a lot of small craft parts out of bronze and steel. Melee weapons/tools Steam saw info:A steam powered chainsaw, a highly complex piece of kit to the point you can't just craft it you need to find the parts for it, though the teeth to the saw can be crafted as they wear down. Once built it is a tree chopping machine that is also good at combat though bat for hunting. USes air pressure while active when that runs out it doesn't do much, teeth require replacement after so many blocks destroyed, or enemies hit. Powered Hammer info: a two handed hammer striking weapon, while powered it can be triggered to deal a massive burst of damage to a single target doing so uses all of its air pressure charge meaning it is a one off attack outside of that it is a large great hammer Mining drill info: a steam powered drill used for mining, requires the same teeth used in the saw, like with the saw the player can not craft the parts to make this but must find them. A steam drill can easily drill a tunnel so long as it has air pressure and water to run. STEAM RANGED WEAPONS Steam bow info: calling this a bow is an outright lie, the steam bow uses air pressure to launch arrows, with an air tank able to fire 10 shots or a engine a shot every 5 seconds. (engine can hold 5 shots of power). While it lacks the limbs of a bow or crossbow it does fire similar projectile curves to them. just at a longer range, think of your arrows when you use it. Air Rifle info: like the saw and drill you can't just craft this yourself, you have to find the parts in ruins and other dangerous places. Thankfully it isn't that rare as its wreckage can normally be found on turret like structures used in defense. Unlike the steam bow it fires small bullets at really high speeds making it the best hunting ranged weapon in the game but it comes at a cost it can only fire 4 shots per air tank or one short every 12 seconds from a steam engine. IT is highly recommended one uses air tanks with this. STEAM DEFENSES/ GOLEMS this is the main point of steam making your own clockwork golems in the late game, these will do simple tasks generally defending an area, or mining in a line. though complex ones like garden golems so exist that allow one to have something tending to a large garden with ease. Golems require steam engines and will not run on the tanks, as such make sure they are topped off with water or have a place to resupply it or else they may power down. Same with their coal supply. Farm golem info: the most common golem, this small tick like creature will wonder around doing basic farm work. Yes it is based of that one enemy. its main purpose is tending to farms and will automaticly take food to a place that is a cellar when it grows and replant crops as needed. Sadly they can not rotate crops so you will have to do that. They can also collect fruit from fruit trees. Transport Golem info: a large quad walker golem that one can ride, extremely rare found broken down in a desert if you are lucky, takes time and parts to repair. has 4 built in steam engines one for each leg. The big thing is it has several chests on its form and can carry 4 people. Defender info: a small biped golem that can use any melee weapon you give it, when built will stay around the place it was built and defend against wild animals and hostile beasts. Note hostile ones can be found in ruins so watch out. Steam turret info: an Air rifle on a geared turret bock with two steam engines, this thing will automatically fire at hostiles that get to close though it does require one finding an air rifle and making enough ammo for it. can hold 30 rounds of ammo in its storage tube. Hostile ones are found in ruins so watch out, though it is from hostile ones you get the parts for the air rifles.
  8. An ice box is a simple item, it is a box which has 3 compartments in one of them you put a large block of Ice, this allows items in it to remain cold or in some cases freeze if put in an already cool location. IS more or less a primitive fridge. Though I do see some problems with this idea like the fact we would need ice and a way to make it... at which point it might not be that useful
  9. Ok haven't played much but with the game hitting the 1600s time of tech it is about time for black powder. While yes I know guns are a well low hanging fruit of weapon suggestions but blackpowder has so many more uses. For this reason I suggest A sapper class. these guys would be better with blackpowder weapons and and able to use explosives more effectively for mining, but this comes at a cost of being really bad at mining without explosives. Along with that comes the following black powder items. Note all black powder items can be disabled with water, a flint lock will not work in the rain or when wet. Though a wheel lock will. EXPLOSIVE TOOLS Petard Info: a tall block tall, wall mounted bomb made out of iron or bronze fill with black powder and put a fuse in, bronze ones are highly likely to self destruct, while iron ones are less likely. When used will blow a whole in a single direction, good for slow mining or breaching something. Requires more sticks to set up again. Pressure mine info: a crude black powder mine, made of cast iron and filled with either gunpowder or a flamible paste, when stepped on a spark is caused resulting in an explosion or burst of flame. powder fuse Info: a line of blackpowder in a tube of wood designed as a fuse that can go any direction up, down, across the ground, its main use is setting off mining explosives or Petards from a safe distance. Mining explosives Ore blasting bombs, reinforced with wood and paper for a more confined explosive, these can be placed in a block and remotely lit with a fuse Will chain like ore blasting bombs, Unlike Ore blasting bombs have a smaller fixed detonation radius and drop rate wiht 95% and 30% instead of the normal ones 90 and 25. Unlike the ore blasting bomb ores can drop crystalized and gems but this is rarer then mining by hand unless a sapper lights them. BLACK POWDER WEAPONS GUNS Hand cannon info: the basic of basic guns, can be made with any metal and a stick, is just a tube with a hole in it, you fill with blasting powder and stick a rock in the other side, light with a torch and boom. It is inaccurate has less range then a bow and is highly likely to break after use if made of anything weaker then iron. but it does a lot of damage. Arquebus info: A bit more advanced then the hand cannon, though it is still just a tube with a fuse and a shot, this one has the "torch" part built in, just don't get it wet as you will have to replace the torch and the blasting powder instead of just the blasting powder. Flint lock info: first gun to require a crafted bullet as the others can just fire rocks, comes in two forms blunderbuss and rifle, Requires less blasting powder over all then either the hand cannon or Arquibus but also requires more time to make ammo. also flint needs replaced every 10 shots. blunderbuss can load rocks still but takes 4 rocks and fires 8 projectiles. wheel lock info: First gun that can get wet, though comes at the cost of reliability, like the flintlock requires crafted bullets, unlike the flintlock which has its flint on the outside the wheel lock has an internal mechanism that allows it to fire even when wet, the down side is it only has a 35% chance of firing each time you pull the trigger as the mechanism isn't reliable. Though if built by a watch maker that goes up to a 70% chance. Cartridge rifle The top tier of blasting powder weapons, the cartridge rifle takes cloth or bronze cartridge ammo, still single shot this one has none of the draw back of earlier weapons in the line but it does have a large time cost in you need blasting powder, bullets, bronze(or paper) for the rounds and a highly complex smelting process for the barrels. with out the right tools this is impossible to make. This weapon has two types, shotgun, and rifle. both having their own ammo type to craft. Explosives Jar grenade info: a jar filled with blasting powder with a fuse on the end of it. explodes in the air if hits the ground or a creature just creates a small fireball, lighting the target on fire. has a 2 second fuse. Iron grenade info: a cast iron shell filled with blasting powder and a fuse, unlike the jar grenade can hit things and not become useless. explodes for moderate damage neither it nor the jar grenade do enough to destroy more then dirt like blocks. Fragmentation Grenade info: made with a mixture of steel and iron these grenades are designed to fragment on explosion. They are filled with blasting powder and have a special timed fuse, can be used in water unlike the jar and iron grenade. --------------- MANNED DEFENSES "hand weapon mount" All black powder weapons can be placed on a "mount" this allows them to be fired more accurately from a fixed position and speeds up reloading mounted weapons can't be moved as easily and tend to have fixed firing angles. MORTAR info: a large item, requiring time and cannon balls to craft, fires at a fixed range and angle, not really that useful in PvE situations. Cannon info: a hand cannon, not for the hand, you can make it have a longer range and damage by increasing how long it is or wide it is, though the bigger it is the more iron it needs, and the longer it is the more blasting powder to fire. note: do not use for hunting, you can't get meat if the animal is blown in half. Thunder mug info: a small mug filled with blasting powder and a bright material, when fired causes a streak of color in the sky and a loud noise. Spooks all passive mobs or animals in the area, useful for calling for help.
