Simple mod request: Gravel to path

That would be great! Can you let me know if you do it, I will definitely keep an eye on the mod page. -
Light levels should be more impactfull for mob spawn
GLaDOS_cz replied to GLaDOS_cz's topic in Suggestions
When I build a wall around to protect my house, I expect it to be safe, But I dont like when there is so much light all around in order to make it safe, it looks weird and makes some light sources obsolete, I like how oil lamps look and would love to use them in small places, but they are practically useless when its not your only source of light same goes for torch holders, they have radius of like 4 blocks, so if I wanted to use them in the visual way, they will be practically non-functioning, the other is extreme where is torch holder each five to six blocks, which just doesnt look good. -
Ahoj, In my SP play, I find it that there is never enough dirt and I just dont want devastate surrounding nature to have long paths, the gravel on the other hand is plentifull and I have problem storing it, there is simply too much and I wonder if there is or if anybody would be interested in making a mod that allows turn gravel into path same as dirt, when you think about it, it makes sense and I dont see problem why it should not be possible in vanilla.

Lighting up my base as football stadion in order to deflect mob spawns should be more liberal, mobs should be restricted to spawn on lover light levels, this odd thing is a old mechanic taken from Minecraft and should in my opinion be adressed, its not cool looking to have light sources at every corner. As seen in below image, an oil lamp in such small space is still not enough to eliminate potential drifter eating all my jams. When placed at head level, the oil lamp has radius of two... What a shameful display

Can I use Beehive Kiln to fire up refractory bricks instead of doing them still in kiln pits?

And it was also magnetite or other iron type?
-
I have found a big chunk of magnetite, but I wonder if there is always just one vein, or more.
-
Heyo, I wonder if there can be multiple iron veins in one area where I get decent chances or it is always one giant vein per green dots zone so I know if im supposed to keep digging to find another one or move along.

As I and friend play on TOPS, we occasionally visit towns where are players, which is always great adventure and fun, but communication with these players is always a struggle to me, because the global chat is truly busy place. I would greatly appreciate local chat tab that would only showed messages sent by players in the vicinity of #(100,200, 2000 - configurable?) blocks.

Now, I know that there is mod for that, but I would really like if there was proximity voice chat build in for vanilla as feature, I was just playing with friend on official server and we meet some guys, but writing in those encounters is really slow a confusing when the chat is global by default. It would encourage players into some light level of roleplay and also trading and in overal it would give multiplayer game good social immersion. A pic is just us having great time

You know it, when cutting a big tree down, you just stare at it while holding mouse button. I propose that the tree cutting is more dynamic to the eye while keeping all practicaly same. So when cutting a tree, the trunk that is cutted is actually being chopped off graphically and stays chopped when you stop, so you can go back to it later and finish the job. That could be nice base for physically falling tree afterwards, but thats above my suggestion, I have seen mod that does that.

When i was playing with the generation mods and trying to see the results when flying in worlds I found out that the fog caused by bad weather is so intense that I could barely see anything, It would be great to have some sort of command that switches or reduces the fog caused by weather since clear weather does not work in very hummid areas.

As the title says, it would be great if prospecting probing was shared between players so one player can see that there is already prospect being done so the world does not become full of holes on same locations.
-
It would be great to be able to pick up filled up and closed barrels and put them somewhere horizontally. Would make my wine cellar look even cooler

I second this, its very anoying way of handling the map, to reload it slowly after each close, or looking at different parts while it keeps reloading, also the game tends to stutter when i close map.

There are not below zero temperatures, its guite warm, now is already June and there is still ice. I spawned in default climate, temperate, I think. The ice melts, but extremely slowly, i think it should melt shortly after the sub zero temperatures get over, not waiting for it to go off in literall months.

Its newest version

It kinda catches my eye when going around my base in summer and see still unfrosted ice blocks in lakes, I guess it would be cool to have some more aggresive rule to melting point of ice when spring starts.

Hello, I think it would really add to the forests and trees if their naturally spawned logs that have exposed upper and bottom texture to air would be covered in bark as rest of the logs. They would be still normal logs of wood and after cutting they would drop classic textured log as now. Also, off topic, if you developers considering or working on rivers, it is technically possible to make those rivers leveled and traverse terrain in slopes and sudden waterfalls? Also would be interesting, if clay formations would generate near rivers and what about beavers and their wooden damns, creating wetlands rich to turf/peat? Dont know how realistic it would be though.

Interesting command, thanks
