  1. I found an app named Bottles, allows to run vintage story in a separate runtime environment with compatibility layers. Works like a charm on both distros I use, Mint & Nobora. Now it doesn't matter what runtime or framework they use because you can set all of that up in the bottles app for that specific program.
  2. From my experience as a Linux user, I can run VS fine on Mint 21.3 since it uses the 6.5 kernel. However updating to the 6.8 or updating to Mint 22 breaks support for me since NET7 isn't no longer supported on those kernels I'm assuming. I also run a separate distro Nobara which now uses the 6.10 and the 6.8 which is great for newer hardware and VS won't work on those either. Even manually installing the NET7 into these distros still won't work as they just don't see them. Vintage Story is that game however I will have a separate distro set aside so I can still play. :)
  3. No worries, I read somewhere Nobara 40 which is based off of Fedora doesn't support DN 7 anymore. May have to just run a separate distro for VS, bit new on Linux myself so still learning.
  4. Yea just recently changed distros and realized oh... I can't play Vintage Story anymore because it requires dotnet7 and Nobara 40 doesn't support this anymore. Then I was going to change distros (thats how much I love this game) and realized that dotnet7 isn't even officially supported anymore. Guess I'll just wait until the game updates to dotnet8. :)
  5. No worries all is good.
  6. Sort of new still yet, haven't crafted a book yet so you're saying we can pin recipes in a crafted book? Mostly as a reminder because I forget so much that I want to do because I get sidetracked too easily. Having a constant reminder is helpful for my memory issues. Thanks for your response much appreciated!
  7. SEED: - 2000392398 Landcover Scale - 75% 512K x 512K world 25K block equator/pole Upheaval 0% everything else is default, lots of flat ground, good resources nearby. Easier to traverse decent resources nearby for early start.
  8. Apologies if this has been hashed over already, is there a way to pin recipes in Vintage Story?
  9. I agree, gorgeous scenery too.
  10. Clearly this is a project of passion, myself a few friends bought a dedi and have been playing all night without issues. The pace, the environment, the amount of detail in everything you do this is what we have been looking for for quite some time. Many games have complex systems like this however finding that delicate balance is key and they really delivered well on the pace of things. You really appreciate your tools and weapons considering the time you put into making them, we can't wait to continue playing later and looking forward to the future of this game. Highly recommended!
  11. I just discovered this game a handful of days ago, very impressed with it from just what little I have learned. This is the type of game I have been looking to find for years, it reignited my desire to play games again.
