Hi everybody, I hope you are doing well! I'm flirting with the idea of creating a Vintage Story LOTR-server, and I would like your thoughts! Currently, I'm still in the brainstorming phase, but this is what I'm thinking so far: - A LOTR server set in my Eriador map (12k by 12k blocks, link down below) - Survival mode - Focus on building (lore-friendly but still with your own creative input) - Whitelisted server - Lightly modded server - Focus on factions that can trade with each other and can have small-scale war with each other (but also with plenty of safe-zones for players that just want to build) - Light roleplaying for players that want to but not mandatory The server will be set around the Year 1601 of the Third Age. This is when the Hobbits first settled the Shire. This was also the time when Angmar was making war with the 3 kingsdoms of Arnor: Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur. These kingdoms were sometimes also at war with each other. The Elves live in Lindon at the Grey Havens and in Rivendell. Around this time the Dwarves still inhabit Moria. And lastly, wild Men roam the desolate places. This will give an interesting setting with about 7-8 different factions, and awesome lore-locations to build together with your faction: Fornost, Rivendell, Grey Havens, Tharbad, Bree, Shire, Moria, Angmar and more... At the same time there is plenty of space for creativity and non-lore locations that fit within the setting of this server. To stimulate trade and/or war between the factions, I think it could be interesting to have some resources with limited availability to some faction territories. Example: There might be HUGE iron ore veins in the dwarves territory of Moria, while there is very little iron in the territory of Rhudaur. But there is also a big iron ore vein in the Weather Hills, which is contested territory and can be fought over. This gives Rhudaur the choice to either trade with the dwarves or make war with whoever controls the weather hills at that point. Mods I consider to add so far: - QPs Chisel - C&N Claims - Middle Earth Races Like I said, I'm still brainstorming and I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this and whether you would be interested in such a server! I dont have that right now. I have a download for this world without any buildings in it yet. Might post an updated download in the future!

I seem to be having the same issue. When I start my world I have high fps (140) and about 60% of Ram being used. While playing for some minutes the RAM use slowly goes up and fps slowly goes down. At some point its 92% Ram usage and the game starts lagging and freezing. This never happened to me in 2 years of playing Vintage Story and suddenly seems to have started today...
