  1. I would pay all of my gears for an item that makes animals start breeding immediately whether or not they've eaten enough food.
  2. checking the durabilities of the other tools Copper pickaxe - 300 durability Bronze pickaxe - 450 durability maybe viable to use ore bombs if you also account for the blocks you will need to mine in order to get TO the stuff.
  3. Let's math it out! You need 100 units to create an ingot/tool that's 5 medium ore (4 nuggets each) or 4 rich ore (5 nuggets each). I'm not going to do the math for the poor ore because it's weird and I don't like it. you would need to blow up 50 chunks of medium ore or 40 chunks of rich ore in order for it to counteract the material losses of mining iron with an iron pickaxe. An iron pick has 1000 durability. The math isn't mathing. The ore loss is the price you pay for speed. The ore loss would be far more than you would spend crafting a replacement pickaxe.
  4. I thought the same thing, but digging underwater would create a vacuum and there would be nothing under there to create an air pocket so it actually should flow upwards at least until the surface of the water is reached. Maybe with the rivers update, Anego should also add geothermal cracks that cause air bubbles to rise to the surface forming air pockets in underwater caves!
  5. I have never seen such crockery before in my life! *utterly aghast*
  6. If we're calling Vintage Story "another Minecraft game", then I guess we need to call Minecraft "another Infiniminer game"... since you know... Notch directly admitted that he wanted to recreate Infiniminer but with more focus on the survival aspects. Yes, you read that right. Minecraft wasn't even the original.
  7. I bet you have a ton of rusty gears. I should start trading more.
  8. oh thank you! I was very concerned when I placed some hot copper plates down and they started disappearing.
  9. Yes, but you have to wait exactly 1 minute and 5.27 seconds before digging or the duplicated items will spawn somewhere else. No one has been able to find a pattern to this yet, so it's recommended that you get a stopwatch from your local sporting good store before attempting this glitch.
  10. Okay be technical. Peat is also renewable since you can just duplication glitch
  11. I don't think that placing an item on an anvil can be automated since you have to choose whether you are creating an ingot or a plate on the anvil. Now... if there's only one choice, great, blooms and blister steel can probably be automated, but the anvil doesn't care if a helve hammer is near it or not, if you place any ingot on there, you have to choose what item you get back. Thus I don't think that you can automate the creation of plates this way. I am, of course, okay with being wrong.
  12. The major drawback to mining underwater is the fact that you will eventually have to surface or you will run out of air. Instead of nerfing, I think the improvement to be made here is that mining underwater should result in your air supply lowering faster than if you were just floating there. This would cause you to have to surface more often. When rivers become a thing, I can only imagine that mining underwater will completely fill voids with water and only naturally occurring air pockets will be allowed to exist to prevent the player from creating air pockets to cheese this mechanic.
  13. Firewood also retains value as it's the only renewable fuel source AND it can turn into charcoal which is pretty much the most versatile fuel source.
  14. Does Clyde still wander around? I met someone like Clyde yesterday. Turns out he had a real fascination with the gear mechanisms of my the windmill on my server. Up the ladder he went. "Get down from there!" I yelled at the creature who was seemingly uninterested in anything I had to say. His response? He started throwing rocks from his perch. Where did he even get them? So Up the ladder I went, poking him with a stick. "I said, GET DOWN!" He slumped over and started crying? bleeding? I'm not sure. Maybe I poked him a little too hard. Do you think it could have been the spear head on my stick? Should I have removed that first? Who knows with these things...
  15. Came here to say this. You said it better! haha
  16. Pneumatics!
  17. I'll do you one better and edit my entire post to despoilerify the whole thing. I just assumed if players were coming here, then they were okay with potential spoilers given the nature of these news posts.
  18. A friend of mine and I were discussing maybe allowing Seraphs to do something with some sort of special magic flowing fluid. It could be used as: Hydraulic Fluid (to actuate doors) Convenient Fuel (to power mechanicals crafted by the clockmaker?) Light source With steam power coming, if we can build complex piping systems, perhaps there is room for seraphs to do something like this with the proper know-how and materials?
  19. I'm not aware of that, but it might be true? I've seen forests return to farmland just by wiping out the trees, but I've never tried to convert a lush area into a desert.
  20. Did you try looking in the configuration settings in-game when you create a new world?
  21. If Tyron is proud of it then it's good enough for me! I've found him to be most reasonable.... as evidenced in my communications with him in this thread. XD
  22. GUYS I DID IT I finally potty trained my blackguard! Instead of going in her pants, she now uses the crucible! Before and after:
  23. You soak them right before using them I like to soak 2 at a time since they heal so much. It's a few extra clicks but if you need that much healing, you're likely going to die if you DON'T take the time to heal up.
  24. LOL ok
  25. *haven't You missed a ' But anyway, I think a lot of people are taking it like you're talking down to us like we're all idiots for enjoying a game you don't like. It costs you nothing not to come here and berate us. As the saying goes, "Don't yuck my yum!"
