  1. I was wondering, why I am in a desert where temp can reach 52°C and my body temp doesn't change? Well, it does change... but only during winters. So, why not try to add the Hot hardiness temp as well? Simply put, there'll be a new upper limit for which our body temp will not be affected and from certain point it will rise above it's default value, for example when environment temp gets above... Let's say 35°C or 40°C it will start affecting our body temperature just as the Cold hardiness does, but the other way around. It might start by sweating effect (water particles dropping from the player), simple sway effect, then red screen overlay effect and finally damage. This would make the deserts, tropics and summers overal just as challenging as winters are. Not only desert, standing near fire or lava could affect the body temp as well! Prevention? Simple, stay in a shade, not in direct sunlight, drink water or juices that will cool down ur body. And avoid standing too close to lava and fire sources So, in my oppinion the Hot hardiness temp would be really neat, it would surelly balance out summers, making them a unique challenge as much as winters are.
  2. Imagine stumbling across a massive, icy behemoth in your world hidden beetween the mountain peaks. These would not be static, but instead alive. A wall of ice slowly carving its way through the landscape. It would be so epic. I personally imagine glaciers move slowly, very slowly. Maybe they'd advance one block every 1 to even 12 in-game days. This movement could potencially reshape the terrain under the glacier. Also some parts of the glaciers could collapse from time to time. The player would hear the deep rumble, the cracking ice, and the part of glacier calving off on the ground. The collapses could be most often during warm times of year so especially spring, summer and fall. During winter the collapse could happen too but it would be rare. If players discover one, they could especially: Scavenge valuable resources: Exposed by the melting or fracturing ice. For example coal and other metals (lead, zinc, nickel, gold, copper, ...) Also many rocks would be weakened and heavily eroded so they'd become mineable by bare hand. Witness breathtaking events: The catastrophic collapses of a massive ice formation. The collapses would be of many sizes most commonly small ones. Dynamic glaciers by my own oppinion would offer a unique opportunity to add a layer of unpredictable environmental dynamism to the mountains. They would make the world feel more alive, more dangerous, and ultimately, more engaging.
  3. Hi folks, While playing this trully wonderfull game, I noticed that there aren't much geological features other than hot springs, mountains or plateaus. So I was wonderind if there was introduced a brand new geological feature, volcanoes. Volcanoes would be extremely rare to find, even less common than hot springs althought the hot springs would me much more common to find near volcanoes. They could generate anywhere in world. Depending on the type, they would come in 6 main forms: Shield Volcano - Volcano with gently sloping sides, these would not be usually explosive in nature and their eruptions would manifested by the discharge of a considerable amount of lava into the surroundings and would be able to produce lava-fountains as well. The resulting lava flows could then reach outlying areas, destroying forests for example Stratovolcano - These would have relatively steep sides and would look more cone-shaped than shield volcanoes. They would be formed from more viscous, sticky lava that does not flow easily. These volcanoes would always erupt explosively ejecting lava bombs and ash with a chance to spot a pyroclastic flows. The violence of eruptions would often vary but they would be dangerous to the player if not watching the eruption from a safe distance. The resulting ash plume could then cause crop failure, animal death, ashfall or beautiful crimson red sunsets. Cinder Cone Volcano - These would be very steep-sided but relatively small commonly occuring on the sides of larger volcanoes. The eruptions of these could range from mild to moderately explosive eruptions. Cinder cones would generally have monogenetic eruptions, meaning that they would have a single eruptive episode. Caldera Volcano - They would appear bowl-shaped, surrounded by steep cliffs, and some filled with lakes. These would be huge and sometimes due to their size even difficult to notice in terrain. some calderas could be explosive able to emit large-volume ash-flow tuffs and form very tall eruptive ash columns. However other calderas would be typical for large eruptions of lava flows. Lava Dome Volcano - Because they would be made up viscous lava, they will mostly be steep-sided. They typically would have rough brecciated surfaces, and sometimes they have glassy rinds due to quenching of the hot lava once it was erupted onto the surface. Most lava domes would be relatively small with limited volume. But these would pose a significant hazard in their immediate vicinity. Lava Domes could collapse unpredictably and produce explosive eruptions and pyroclastic flows. Fissure Volcano - These could be found on the ocean floor and less commonly on land. The length of fissures would vary greatly. The small ones could sometimes occur on the sides of larger volcanoes. The eruptions would be large or small always tipical with lava fountains, however there would not be any ash. Instead, they would feed lava flows that can travel great distances similarly as shield volcanoes would do. It is just an idea, but I believe that it would be epic to experience one of these volcanoes to erupt if they would exist in a game. Plus it would make the underground feel much more alive.
  4. The "Gewitter" and all flies that has numbers, for example "lighting-distant4.ogg", or "lightning-verynear7.ogg" are new thunder sounds I wish to add to the game. The ones that are in vanilla game are the ones without number, so for example "lighting-distant.ogg" is in base game.
  5. Hey everyone, I already asked on VS Reddit and Discord but absoluetly no reply. So I will try my luck here. So, I was wondering of there is an easy way to add more various thunder sounds to my game. I struggle so Iong trying to find out how these new sounds could be played along with the older ones, but sadly no success till this day. And there is no video or tutorial either. I tried to add new files into the survival's sound, weather folder as shown below. However nothing happened, only the old thunder sounds were playing. I am so frustrated at this point. Anyone here for help how the new sounds could played along with the already existing ones? Have anyone tried something similar?
