  1. It would be very nice to see the version number is on: list of favorite servers Since you can only really see the version number when looking for servers, that information goes away when you have added it to your favorites. It would be very nice to have overview of version numbers on the list of servers in favorites. list of saved worlds, so you can avoid opening worlds with incorrect versions. People might be playing with multiple installed versions, and since game has a shared data directory which keeps saves all in the same place for everything, having the version numbers easily visible would only be good. I know you can see version number when editing world, but for ease of overview, and since you seem to have space for a 3rd line, that could be a place for adding a version number.
  2. I have a little suggestion, about allowing people to have separate list of mods active in multiplayer, than you might have in single player. Because sometimes you might not want to add anything extra to a server experience, or it might be the cause of issues, then it's a bother having to edit the mods list every time you swap between singleplayer and multiplayer. Mockup of the idea included.
  3. Yeah, the Simple HUD Clock mod is such a nice thing to show all the basic info you might be interest in without having to open your character screen every time to check the weather and rift activity. Specially love the neat way it implements an icon to indicate if you are in a room or not, and what type of room. And perhaps From Golden Combs for better beekeeping (reusable hives), but would note that bees don't swarm from those hives, only from skeps and natural hives. You place populated skeps inside them to make the hives work. No more abuse of those poor bees by destroying the hives to harvest honey. The Carry On mod feels so natural to use, letting you rearrange containers by lifting them up, and doing the same action without focusing on any block (such as just looking at the sky) does place whatever you are carrying onto your back so you can use your hands. But just the organizing ability of this is wonderful, should totally just be part of vanilla. And for some quality of life that doesn't really take away from the feeling of actually making things by hand, is Knapster. Essentially just auto selects what voxels are being placed/taken away when knapping, clay forming or smithing, but still feels like you are making the item yourself even if you are not manually pointing at every voxel. Though you can always alter the speed of the assist with setting commands, but that can take away from the vanilla feeling (such as making panning take no time, a 1 click action). I personally make it place more than 1 voxel at a time (it speeds things a bit) and love this feature, it appears as an optional mode for actions that let you choose a mode by pressing F (such as clay forming and smithing). I actually enjoy smithing without the assist more, it's such a interesting process. That is what I use when playing
  4. Well, since I wanted to create a personal stone generator on a multiplayer server I have been paying on (https://www.vintagestory.cz/skyblock/) , I had to figure some things out. And since there doesn't seem to be a lot of info about such generators, I figured I share what I designed. I managed to figure out for myself how to get a obsidian block generator, but I wanted basalt as well. It lead to this creation. It uses 3 water sources and 1 lava block, I just placed buckets to make it obvious where water goes. You can optionally chisel out a little side access to the water blocks, for easy access to unclog the basalt side of the generator (though since lava is weird, and it can eat any non-full block...other option is to just break glass whenever you want to unclog the water. Hope this was useful ^^ it is always fun to figure things out. Lava and water interactions in vintage story is quite unpredictable sometimes. But this generator seems to not be at risk of exploding into a lava bomb if something goes weird. this generator will let you mine whole obsidian and basalt blocks with ease. Enjoy mining_obsidian.mp4
  5. Yeah, I picked up a new rooster in a trap and saw the battle go on. The wiki seems to say that only the generation of the hen matters, so that's all good. That will be one very old rooster that will get to retire in a separate pen in that case
  6. Have you tried the close range mode on the prospecting pick? Though I haven't played around with it much, mostly watched a video <.<'
  7. Hey there all, greetings from Iceland I just wanted to poke the community since I have fallen for Vintage story. Been playing minecraft since 2010, so I know how to move around at least :V Just got to say Vintage Story is awesome from what I've experienced so far, makes me think back on that one mod 'Better than Wolves' that I used to try out, heh. Gotten my copper tools, crawling through my first winter in decent condition, lost both my swords to dying to wolves yesterday, time to mine more copper... Got myself some 1st gen chickens and grumpy sows, might be getting somewhere. Exploring what a game has to offer for the first time 'round is always fun, and always something new like it a lot. Hope my wild rooster doesn't kill any 1st gen roosters <.< if that's how it goes Gosh, drifters are specially creepy during those temporal storms ._. Still haven't found bees... I need bees to feel complete
