/gamemode 2 (and /gamemode 1 to go back to normal) Yes, the mobs will ignore you. You can go and beat on it with impunity. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Guide:Creative_mode

Go into creative mode and go remove it, or find somewhere else to mine and go back and kill it some other day.

It needs to be sealed off, if you are digging it open, it is no longer a cellar at that moment. Dig out enough room for yourself in there and seal the roof over and you should see the timers change.

Well, now we may need that age verification after all, they just made it an "adult" game.

Unfortunately no to the handbook or wiki, other than the very basics. Even asking around the forums I honestly didn't get much help at the time. Videos and trial and error.

No matter how much flax you find, you need more! I like to have hundreds of it planted ASAP.

Don't start that again LOL

What? That's just crazy talk! Canada isn't even a real place.

Ahhh! Yeah, I always forget that, there is no problem that can't be solved with enough explosives. I wonder if it is viable to go right to T3 refractory bricks. While the chances are low of them breaking, I have never had to replace any. T2, typically 1 or 2 per cycle, which is still not bad really.

You normally can't mine chromite or ilmenite without a steel pickaxe.

Was the time for peat in a pit kiln changed to 20 hours? It used to be 16. I didn't see it in the change logs, but I wanted to double check before I go submitting it as a bug. I just tested brown coal too, it shows 20 hours when I light it. I am not 100% that I don't have a partially functioning mod giving me that info. Extra info is partially working, I know it doesn't show the charcoal pit info, which is a drag.

Third time in as many days but, Screenshots of my setup in this thread: Helve hammer is a lot more demanding than the quern and pulverizer. Obviously my setup could be enclosed and made more pretty, but it works. One could use 4 hammers but then you'd probably need a 3rd windmill, and besides the forge already feels too cluttered.

Yeah, it's great at preventing frostbite if you don't freeze to death. I remember reading not too long ago that it is a big problem in Canada, especially with tourists.

Oh, nice. Like the buzzwords mod, because bees nests are another thing that are nearly impossible to find without tearing up half the trees. I would really like to have more mods like this instead of having to use the blatantly cheaty ones.

Of course there is one big issue; chocolate does not grow in the regions where it would be useful to prevent hypothermia and it isn't like you can just run down to the corner store to buy some.

VS, no, it is probably safe for the foreseeable future. What is considered adult could change though, and also, what is considered adult can vary from place to place. In the USA large amounts of violence are generally considered fine for children, show tits and you can forget it. IIRC in some countries, any violence against humans is enough for an adult rating. So you could have robots killing each other, ships blowing each other up, but not humans being killed. Some nudity is generally not enough for an adult rating. So that is the very real danger of very broad and vaguely defined terminology in laws.

These mods I'd consider fair and balanced: https://mods.vintagestory.at/treetapping#follow Smith a copper ingot into 2 spikes and combine with 2 buckets to get 2 taps. https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/21442 Lets you adjust spawn rate of the logs and if planted pine trees can also generate them. Very configurable. Both still work up to and including 1.21RC2. This one is cheaty, but considering how hard it is to find them without clearing out half the leaves from the forest, I don't feel bad about using it: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/10128#tab-description Which also still works. Or this, which I haven't tried yet, but consolidates all the visible particle mods, and is up to date: https://mods.vintagestory.at/particlesplus#tab-description Of course in my latest game I seem to be tripping over resin logs, I don't know if the spawn rate was increased or I just got lucky for once. It is January, first winter and resin is no longer a concern for the foreseeable future for me, so I may start foregoing the taps and lower the spawn rate for planted trees.

Huh? Granted salami comes in a lot of sizes too, but if you're talking sandwich size, it's a thing.

That would be a case of you not following instructions fully; they made the game, they told you how to set up a server, you were told you needed to check people's age; it isn't on them to make sure you do it. While they do allow asinine lawsuits against manufacturers, hopefully this doesn't go that far. Still, this shit should have been shut down before it became a law.

Yeah, I know, the minute after I ask a question, I either figure it out suddenly or I go and search again and typically find the answer. Although sometimes it does help the thought process phrasing the question for someone else and reading it.

No, rain only extinguishes pit kilns, it doesn't affect the charcoal pit. It sounds like you didn't surround and cover the fire. No air space whatsoever. Put a block on each of the 4 cardinal directions (they can be covering other parts of the pit) and 1 on top. So for example I do a 3x3x2 pit and I put the fire in the center. All the blocks are covered and then a block directly on top of the fire. Also, for anyone else with the other issue with it smoking but the timer running over into negative numbers and it never finishing (unless you screwed up) of course you can't see the timer without extra info mod which isn't working for 1.21, relogging is usually the fix. This works for pit kilns as well.

Well part of the problem is the law is so vaguely worded and gives sweeping powers. But yes, I can't see them going after some little game server, other than maybe telling you to shut it down, because it would be like squeezing blood from a stone trying to prosecute them. They will just go after the hosting provider, who put at risk of financial loss is likely going to cave without a fight.
