  1. Oh no! I didn't know that PETA also looks out for pigs. What we have here in the Philippines is PAWS and it only looks out for cats and dogs (far as I know). Anyway, I better do something about my pigpen. Honestly, I do indeed face difficulties on how to manage my pigpen and chickencoop. I'd better start watching clips on tips in animal husbandry .
  2. This one is my pig pen and chicken coop (Version 1.20.10).
  3. This one is my chicken coop (Version 1.19.0).
  4. Just to share with everyone my farm, so far, and having some difficulty constructing one that attains generation of offsprings. This one is my pig farm (Version 1.20.0).
  5. Thanks Never and ifoz! I'd keep those in mind.

    Translocators

I can't find any topic in the Discussions specific to this subject to share this post. Anyway, I discovered a translocator just a few hundred blocks away from my main base. I was able to repair and tried it. The contraption took me south of the Main Base located in a not so huge cavern with lots of saltpeter to mine. Isn't that luck! If in case this should be moved to an earlier post, please call my attention and I'd be glad to translocate this. Thanks! Snapshot below.
  7. I am thinking of destroying it to build an exit path up the surface. If that is so, then I'd do it. However, I'll keep a saved game so that in case there is some significant thing about the rusted corner pipe, I'd be able to recoup. Thanks for the thought, though.
  8. I happen to come across this mysterious (for me) rusted corner pipe and I'd be glad if anyone could enlighten me about it. I've searched in the forum and the wiki but couldn't find it. Thanks!
  9. Yes, I searched glue on the Wiki and found out that "pitch glue" is just the same as "glue". I prepared a mixture and tried fixing a broken lantern but failed. It was rather a bit disappointing so I aborted the effort thinking I'd run out of resin that I could use on some other more useful things. I can build a lantern anyway. Uhm, disabling the option is quite a nice suggestion and thanks for that. I'll check the server commands available if I can still do it but will have to think about it though.
  10. Absolutely agree with you! In real life situations, there are certain type of glues that can put together materials that make it even stronger than the original state. I hope the devs would think of some materials to add to the game that could do just that; well, just hoping. Hmm, pitch glue...never encountered that. Thanks for the tip. Will try to make one.
  11. I like your idea. Actually, on a much similar case, I was hoping that the devs could allow players to pick up ruined items without totally breaking them and bring it to a certain location, say your base or camp, where you can repair them.
  12. This update is very much welcome; definitely a relief for me. I have been having problems with bowtorns and the unwanted spawning of supernatural monsters. So, can I set Stability to false again?
  13. Thanks for that info. I just noticed the 1.20.10 update on the top-left-hand of the VS window is now available as I logged-in this morning, 5:58AM, May 6, 2025, Philippine Time. So now I guess I'd revert back to my original settings and find out what's in store for me.
  14. Yes, turning off the temporalRifts and temporalStorms will not work. What I did was turned temporalStability to "true", because I set it "false" earlier. By the way, this fix is only effective for supernatural creatures like drifters.
  15. If you were a fan of Minecraft, in my opinion, I would try convincing a friend to buy the game. Actually, I tried convincing my son, but he is on a different genre. VS is still new compared to Minecraft and it still has a lot of time in the future for the developer(s) to polish the game. I'll just have to be patient for now.
  16. Oh, may I add...after disabling the temporals I experienced a problem on monsters spawning just everywhere and couldn't venture for a thousand blocks from my base without being killed. I looked it up on Discord and yes, there is a bug which began on version 1.20.8 and persisted till 1.20.9. The temporary solution is to set Stability to "true" and it worked for now. I'll have another visit to Discord to find out if it has been resolved yet.
  17. I was playing on version 1.20.8. (un-modded) I'll just wait for the resolution of the bug. And, hey, thanks a lot!
  18. In my case, I tried retrieving the basket trap with a trapped chicken but it just broke--no chicken and no trap. Where did it go?
  19. Thanks for the first three commands. I was able to disable temporal-related events.
  20. And to think that I am already 68 years old and still experience creepiness. I guess that is natural, isn't? And immersion in computer gaming is really exciting.
  21. It may be a slow process and sometimes frustrating (so be patient), but I do get gears panning bony soil.
  22. Have you tried this to make bowstave successfully? Thanks!
  23. And for a split second, I felt it was creepy and got excited at the same time. But eventually got disappointed when I found out that it has no use at all.
  24. I do agree that sleep must have more significance in the game than just what it has now. At least, the loss in the character's health bar must be compensated through sleep other than satiety. In reality, most of the time, hunger is not actually felt during sleep. And upon waking up, hunger does not really set in until after rigorous physical movement is initiated e.g. running/sprinting/cutting down trees/etc. But I really have no idea how this mechanic can impact the algorithm of the game.
  25. But did you know that a temporal gear has limitations as to the number of times re-spawning to desired location? So far, in my experience, seems like 20 times only then the effect wears off. Please correct me if I am wrong.
