One time I spawned into a massive vein of borax. I was new at the time, I deleted that world and started again...

I usually play with 10 day wait until monster spawn. Mainly because I love exploring far and wide for the best base location. and map reveal. For people who have monsters on day one... do you explore? Like, with temp shelters. or do you find a base location quickly and stay?

literally did this twice. The first time, i was like: "how on earth did that happen??????" second time: "ohh...."

I am in the same position as you: fav game, cannot get enough of it, started on version 1.19. I invested in this game because I wanted something "more realistic" and i saw a comment that I could try terafermacraft (or whatever - a minecraft mod) or Vintage Story. When I played VS for the first time, I remember thinking.... "ahhhh minecraft for adults". The sense of progression is real. One world on 30 days per month, at 100 hours is no where near completed. The emotions are real: Finding Tin or Iron is a massive achievement. Bears literally scare the hell out of me. As it stands now, VS is my most played offline game of all time.

I remember my very very first world. I fell down a whole and found a massive wall of iron. At the time, i had no idea of it's value and walked away thinking "ill find another one, like minecraft". I didn't find iron again until 100hrs of game play and 4 restarts.

Same, but for a diff reason. I've only ever played 30 day months. and man, winter is loooooooooong. Good for at home renovation projects and close-to-home mining.

Im so jealous, I want to rediscover the game. I may get my wish with 1.22 because I still play 1.20.

O man, i saw these new traders yesterday. Very cool. Keeps getting better. I didn't really like the carts but boy were they good for dodging bears.

If I had to pick one, i'd say Diablo II: LOD. Complete life take over when i was younger. Today, the remake + DLCs are tempting!

I've been a gamer all my life. I think this is the first time I've checked, waited, watched and interacted with devlogs and updates. Not even with Diablo II I did this. Vintage is a masterpeice and I am completely fine being a fanboy.

would you beleive me if I said that after all this time, I haven't used the chisel at all? It's like a whole now world is waiting for me there. That and caving (too scared, obviously).

Vintage Story - the only game where you can play 400hrs and still know nothing lol.
