  1. It's not really intuitive nor is it intended, but if you really want to be able to change your in-game font you can edit the config file (as I found out a while ago through a post on this forum)! I changed mine to be a little bit swoopier (I think i chose the Nova font but I'd have to double check). I'd still enjoy an in-launcher setting but if you really want to it's at least not impossible! On the other hand I tried editing the files for the splash screens and insert my own screenshots that replace the ones I don't like, and the game refuses to acknowledge those... So unless I am doing something wrong there's no other way other than an official option for this.
  2. Hi! I want to preface this with my thanks to you for the solution you listed, as someone who doesn't really know a whole lot about computers it helped me a whole bunch. I was testing out modded building materials in a simple creative world, and then it happened so I followed your steps up to a point. However now I'm kind of stumped, while inspecting the full savefile I noticed that there are two mentions of a hotbar followed by numbers (presumably the hotbar slots). One hotbar list continues on normally and has the broken item in slot 2, while the other list (which also matches up with the one in the playerdata\data) ends at item 3 which is also the broken one. Obviously this is weird on many levels, the discrepancy in the item slots and the fact that the actual list from the data column is incomplete in the file. I'd really appreciate if you somehow knew how to help. Maybe I should only replace the one from the incomplete list?
  3. I think it's no secret that you can change your starting region in the world (e.g. near the poles, closer to the equator, etc.). However the current story, which I'm aware is still VERY much in progress, is very eurocentric, and I think it's even aware of that itself. Minor spoilers (for the rest of the forum topic), but at one point a book says that everyone in the world gathered somewhere, but the "world" did not include the Americas at that time because society wasn't aware of a whole entire continent. My idea, suggestion, whatever you wanna call it, is that I think it could be neat if additionally to the main story there were a few side stories playing in other places other than medieval Europe. Explore how a few groups of people in Africa would handle the rot, how different peoples up in the north or native Americans or whoever would have reacted to the apocalyptic things happening around them. An interesting element there would be that they, of course, wouldn't be aware of why this is even happening in the first place but there could be hints or other observations that you wouldn't get so easily if you just start the world on default settings. I am aware that even now the entire story is a massive undertaking. We're just 2 out of a planned 7 chapters in and already what we have is quite huge. And also frankly making something at that scale is simply absurd if you were to do it thrice (cold, moderate, hot). But still, I think that one major story location for each of these places could be neat to have. Maybe even involving them into the main story, even if I assume that part is roughly planned out as of right now.
  4. To anyone who finds this thread through a web search (like me right now), what helped me was exiting and reentering the world so you might not need to do all that!
