Make another use for the Beeswax in the game
Make it to where you can wax blocks that have metal to prevent them from rusting in wet areas or oxidizing.
And as a slight "bonus" to having something like a spearhead being rusted, make it cause disease to creatures or people hit with the item. And add potential ways to remedy your illness.
Maybe also add diseases from animals such as rabbits, chickens, bears, wolves, or boars, like eating raw chicken can result in food poisoning, or raw fish resulting in parasites, or a wolf bite resulting in whatever illness the wolf potentially had. It will also create a greater need to cook food before consuming it.
