It works. Thanks. Another small suggestion: Change the text from "This animal cannot be captured" to "This creature cannot be captured".

Yes, I'm busy now, just added a quick patch for the shelves
No matter what i put inside, e.g.
{
"ExcludeEntities": {
"Description": "Exclude these entities, support wildcards. Use comma (,) as separator. Take precedence over IncludeEntities",
"Default": "humanoid-*",
"Value": "humanoid-*"
},
it will always delete it so that it again looks like
{
"ExcludeEntities": {
"Description": "Exclude these entities, support wildcards. Use comma (,) as separator. Take precedence over IncludeEntities",
"Default": "",
"Value": ""
},
any tips? -

Hi,
I think this is the same issue that @Kapibarion posted before. I just split the method to make the issue easier to find. So you just turned on/turned off the temporal stability mechanic without restarting the server?Yes. The server did not restart at the time, since it only restarts every 12 hours. The bot just ran the command to apply after the next scheduled restart.

I believe it has to do with the command /worldconfig temporalStability true/false
since this crash happened to the players after they have voted in Discord to enable Temporal Stability. We are using a Discord Bot that lets players vote and then applies the command to the server console. @Xandu

If you're saying that carts can be performance heavy, maybe add an option to the config to disable them?
And it seems like carts are not protected from being stolen even in claims @Taska Raine -

The report you posted has something to do with cooking. It seems like an value that should always be valid has become a Null Reference.
Does this crash the server or does it just appear in the log?
Does this also happen after a server restart?
It crashes the whole server. After a restart things are fine but i happened several times, like once every or every second day. But that was several days ago. As of now i do not know about any more crashes. It may had to do with "Medieval Fashion", not sure. We have removed that mod from our server, since it changed too many mechanics without even mentioning it on the mod page.

was causing major lag and connection problems on the server for some time: may have to do with clay forms, or a temporal storm going on. players did not report anything else suspicious. happened several times already @Xandu

Another tip: Always use the full installer and not the updater. I had issues with the updater before.
-
Ok, you're crashing on other servers as well. Then its probably a client issue.
As i said before, make sure youre running the same version as the server youre trying to connect to. And remove any mods from the VintagestoryData/Mods folder.
-
Corrupt items sometimes do only affect players that are in proximity. Sometimes crashes occur only if that item gets on screen, even if still far away. Reducing the view range to minimum can help to get away from it. Are other players playing nearby the spot you should spawn in? If no, someone could try to walk around there for some minutes to see if they crash as well.
-
Is your copy of VS legit?
Also make sure youre using the same build as the server.
And if your role on the server includes a custom spawn point, double check if the value has been correctly entered in serverconfig.json
Regarding folders, delete both Vintagestory & VintagestoryData folders. You may want to backup your singleplayer saves before though.
-
I believe thats actually a server and not a client issue. My guess is that there is a corrupt block or item in your proximity that causes the connection problem. You should ask the server owner to track down the mod which has the corrupt item included and let them disable it temporarely, so that you could try to connect and move away. Theres a command that admins can run to re-generate corrupt chunks, so that could help as well. Although the fruit tree crash is a vanilla issue, but i believe it has been fixed in later versions of 1.17 (although i am not 100% sure). Ill provide more details about the commands you could try later after work, since i dont have them in my head.
