  1. There is a Minecraft mod called Dynamic Trees which does something like this. Trees would drop seeds naturally which if not picked up for a time, would sprout into saplings were the conditions right. It also allows trees to grow bigger, constantly according to the conditions - all trees started out small and needed time to get bigger and bigger. Gives them branches of various sizes and shapes, too! Something similar for VS would be really cool.
  2. In the wiki it describes some of the conditions for certain mushrooms to grow, most ground mushrooms growing under certain trees, others on trees. I thought to plant a forest in a zone which I felt gets sufficient rain, but which doesn't currently have any mushrooms, or another which does have mushrooms but currently only puffballs and field mushrooms. It seems like from your explanation that this endeavor will be to no end?
  3. Hey. I've got quite a few different mushrooms growing in the forest near my house and am wondering if there is any benefit to clearing out all the non-mushroom materials of the forest floor? Can mushrooms spawn in the place there is currently a piece of grass for example, or a reed, cat-tail, or something of that nature? Poisonous mushrooms are useless to me, but if I harvest them/clear them out, is there a chance of other types of mushrooms growing in their place? Overall I'd like some clarification as to the rules regarding mushroom spawning. Anything notable, please do not refrain to mention.
  4. That would be nice. Like the varieties of deer, to have a variety of different chicken-like birds.
  5. It would be really nice to be able to compost non-food items.
