  1. I have had this problem a few times. However it almost always works if you place the right one first, stand inline of the right gate and place the left one on the block you want it aiming at the right nearest corner. Hope that helps.
  2. The chisel method, is hammer in offhand, chisel in active slot, use on the current stone block, basically to tap it, then switch to pick, use pick, pickup full stone block. This was in all the videos back in the day I thought everyone used it over checker boarding.
  3. Thats prob one of most decent ways to do it with just a pick. However Im a big fan of hammer/chisel, smack it, or really a row or wall, and then mine them up with a pick. Its more tools, durability use, but more stone too.
  4. With the info about how much data is being served by the ModDB I have a suggestion. After hitting the home page, going to All Mods is a biggie, perhaps dropping the search info into the Mod Home page so users could specifically find the 1.20 or 1.19 mods they are looking for instead of getting hit with the wall of All Mods. Thats quite a bit being sent even with a cached refresh. Or even perhaps pre-searching the All Mods page into the current version scheme of 1.20 first and just displaying those at the start, but imo thats still a bit of bloat to send. Just a noodle that got out, hope it helps or moves the current discussion along, which I'm sure is already in progress.
  5. Also if you don't view it as "too cheaty", checking the Color-Accurate World Map for new games can do wonders. Or for existing games taken from the Wiki's List of Server Commands: World map All of the following work[1] in a singleplayer world to restore the parchment-style map to the classic colorful map: /worldconfig colorAccurateWorldmap true /worldconfigcreate bool colorAccurateWorldmap true /player [playername] privilege grant colorAccurateWorldmap In a multiplayer world, the following restores the classic map for an individual: /player [playername] privilege grant colorAccurateWorldmap while the following restores the classic map for all players: /worldconfig colorAccurateWorldmap true /worldconfigcreate bool colorAccurateWorldmap true (needs confirmation)
  6. I am a big fan of the new fired brick colors, more options in these cases can only be a good thing for builders. On that same subject, I feel that not using in game Dyes with clay in particular, is a huge miss. Something basic like this, I feel, should be included in the base game. Using a raw clay, mixed clay, or in this case a batch of dyed clay would provide a ton of options, which I've heard is only a good thing. Including it in the base game would only provide a more options for future mods using dyes.
  7. I have experienced this. In a fresh world, happened twice now after about almost an hour, def under 60 minutes. Also, I can hear the wind, nothing else though.
  8. I feel it rather important to point out so people can do the math, it is NOT a percentage. A percentage as we all know is 1 part in 100. The symbol being used is, ‰, which is per mille, or 1 part in 1000. Cent, mille, cent mille, etc. It's the math that prob got ignored, forgotten or just plain unused by a lot of people, but those that deal with numbers and larger numbers of course, it comes into play a LOT. In any case, knowing 1 in 1000 should help you understand the numbers part instead of ignoring for just the words. Hope that helps.
  9. I have mixed feelings about this along with others. But I would overall accept because of exposure and you don't have to reinvent the wheel. That said I don't use the twitch launcher because it is a sad bit of coding and it reports back more than I am comfortable with. The other issue I have with the ifrastructure regarding mods, is two part, searching is a nightmare with name and tags not being used properly, and of course the information contributors put forth about thier mods is most of the time.... horse pucky. You pretty much have to try something to find anything out about it.
  10. I like this. Having not used bees quite yet I don't really have anything to add. However, it does suggest to me another idea along the lines of Chicken Coops!
