  1. They gonna post devlogs any time soon or.
  2. Honestly, just keep temporal gears on infinite. Why do beds not serve as respawn, like literally any game ever, is beyond me.
  3. Personally I just got apiaries mod.. Bees biting is a pain, but figured fair trade off for actual renewable honey. That and recipes are fun and reasonable.
  4. Hah. So few things already. I dunno what's with the metal armor, but indeed it's really barely worth it. Fixing it is also joke worthy. Leather I found acceptable, cause at least in 1.21.6 leather's fairly manageable to acquire. Other than that, armor impairs ur speed, increases ur hunger rates. U mostly meant to wear a set for expeditions, story missions, somewhere where u plan to experience a lot of short, but condensed combat. Next thing, yeah. Temporal storms? Useless. There's nothing to gain from fighting endless hordes of ranged enemies. Unless u wanna farm some enemy drops, but if u got enough materials to make a metal set, u probably don't need those bone arrows or flax fibers. Gears are sweet, including temporals, but there's better ways of getting both. Namely underground expeditions. So yeah, I guess few tips I got, would be: Armor? Chills on that armor stand, unless you really need it. Like before-mentioned underground mining expeditions. For more day to day wear, make urself either a wooden one, or straight up improvised set. Cause legit, even improvised set can save u a hit or two. Other than that, yeah, horsetail and cattails make healing salve. Keep that in mind. As for temporal storms? Spooky. Interesting. U seen one, u seen them all. Wait em out in ur house or other safe space. Avoid unnecessary combat and damage. Other than that, what lady said, Shield's great. 90% damage reduction during active block is what should really help. Much cheaper than full armour set too.
  5. @Thorfinn What you seem to forget is that they're also making a product. We, as clients, have every right to express our concerns and opinions about it. We are fkn customers. Well not you I guess, you're more of a blind follower, but yeah. Concerns are to be shared, considered, and acted upon. One way or the other. They might address it, act on it, or disregard it, if they think their vision is the right one. But our bastard right is to be able to share our opinions and concerns. Heh. If it wasn't for the considerable backlash, they'd prolly roll with straight up insane spear nerf in its full form. Sure they're still far from perfect, but it's thanks to feedback they weren't utterly trashed.
  6. As much as I hate it... I also really love the idea of an aqueduct.... Duality of man.
  7. Water behaving like "other games" lava is already bull enough. Fact, that all you need is a bucket to bypass it, means it's bull for the sake of bull and nothing else. Really hope rapid water is just water we can create if we give it enough volume or elevation. Possibly both. If not, then hope it can be yoinked via a ever powerful, physics defying bucket. U know, like charcoal pit or a cellar. make a big enough pond at the top, poke a hole for a waterfall, create a big enough drop, river bed, and if u meet the requirements, boom, rapid?
  8. Huh. Frankly I hope they'll introduce system the Lady talked about once. Cutting a little branch from a bush and ye growing a sapling out of that. I do love collecting, so ye. Cold weather berries sound like a cool addition to rather limited winter options. Heard they added new labels to crock pots too. Think all jams will get their own?
  9. Huh what if they were tho. That'd be cool. If they offered similar threat as well, instead of being just an annoying time sink that throws a wrench into anything you were doing, then huh. Cause feel that's the problem. Visually they're cool, but unless you want to fight a bunch of bastard enemies, 3 out of 4 being ranged, then what's the point of them. They're interesting and unnerving the first time, but then they're just annoying. Probably caused by their length. Emissions are short and sweet. Get tf inside, or fry. You're in the middle of nowhere? WELL NICE KNOWING U. U know? Emissions are always stressful, and if they catch u in a safe area, then they're blissfully short. Visually they're also amazing.
  10. Hah we'll see how they'll handle berry bush acquisition. That and climates, dunno u'll be able to haul all the berries from all over the world otherwise.
  11. Grapes and raisins when. Hah.
  12. From what I've gathered, windmill connected directly to a big wheel, can easily power all 3 machines at once, granted altitude and wind speed are on ur side, of course. Still dunno how torque works, but ye. Windmill connected to a smol gear, powering an axle connected to big gear just won't move at all period.
  13. Funny how it only matters when it's ur buddy-o getting talked back to. Not him being a pos.
  14. Paying in full for theirs. *tips hat*

    Bauxite

Pretty much. It's very orange, hence easy to spot. Just pick a direction and go. U'll find it. This too, ye. Story requires you to travel for thousands of blocks. 7k+ in our case. Treking to lazaret and archive took us through many, many biomes, a lot of which featured bauxite. So ye, just progressing is sufficient enough indeed. (We even found lime city, biome made entirely of limestone. :D)
  16. Dwarf Fortress is literally entirely different genre, Vintage Story we've pretty much finished in those 140 hours, you sour little grape. Sorry to burst your elitist bubble. We pretty much only got story to go through, yes. I more meant progression.
  17. You really need to go touch some grass if you think 140 fkn hours is not enough to get a good grip of a game. God you're a sad man. Does anyone find this funny? Anyone? In fact, all it tells me, is that you're an old, miserable old guard bastard, too stubborn to see that there's room for improvement in your holy grail.
  18. We laughing at people having a life now? Treating "noob" like a slur? U know what, waste of time. Shining beacon of the community, this waste of space here.
  19. Jester strikes again I see. Here, clown, is the comment I meant. As to the rest of your message, I won't even bother answering. Approaching 140 hours on our world, copper always was, and will be an issue. Resorting to iron plates and nails cause it's just much more common. Whatever tickles ur fancy. U enjoy suffering and wasting time, only praising realism when it hurts you, then do whatever.
  20. You know what I'd love? better pots. Spend bonus clay to add handles to the model? Why not. Also personal pet peeve of mine, 6 portions. crockpot fits 4. Friiiiiick. U know? How about an iron pot that can cook 8 meals at once, but actually can get red hot? Maybe it cooks slightly faster, due to iron being a crap heat insulator? Also frying pan when? Can't be that hard.
  21. Tea man myself, hah. Ye it can def get hot, but not hurt, disfigure, or kill you hot. Hell, during those bastard winter nights its been actually quite soothing. Also absolute gold of a quote from my friend. "give me fire give me reason i want my oven mittens or i will commit treason"
  22. That is interesting. I have not. Glass, plastic, metal, yes. Heat conductors, not insulators. Ceramic? Not nearly as much. I mean... Ye probably? Huh, I bet that's not what devs intended, and it's just some jank ass code at work, but it does make sense. I'd assume crockpot would be thicker. U know, preserve better. Insulate harder.
  23. Just realised something btw. U know what ceramic is? A great heat insulator. U ever poured a hot beverage in ur cup? Noticed how there's no boils on your hand when picking it up? Picking it up is just a stupid change that can go to hell. EATING hot food should damage you. That's the part that fkn HURTS. Can only hope so, cause as things stand now, god they really overcomplicated a thing that really didn't need complicating. Fkn anvil so I can get some oil lamps...
  24. In 1.21.6 at least it is indeed. Stops you from seeing how long a meal will stay fresh for till it cools down. Which can be annoying. This tho. Why. All so you can get a thing that gathers under the skin of processed animals. It's resin all over again. Ye no tappers, no nothing. Essentially tree blood is more mythical than gold. That I legit need help with understanding. Cause process does sound cool, but also why. What was wrong with the previous fat? What this new fat is used for? I need a saw, means I need an anvil, forge, crucible, shit ton of clay, to find copper in the first place. For what. What this new processed fat can be used for that previous raw fat from animal bodies could not acomplish?
  25. @MKMoose Ngl not even I agree with the OP that much, especially the main points they brought in the beginning. Glaciers melting is kinda a big irl problem, so fact they didn't was just funny. I didn't think of using ice as glass myself, but ye unless ur an eskimo that'd never work. Whole rant about wooden mechanisms catching fire due to excess friction being bad is well, just eh? Yeah? Yeah makes sense, doesnt it? Use clutches and breaks IG? As for me, well scroll up and see my original posts as well. Constructive dialogue was had, until derg lady started moaning that spear nerfs are totes necessary, that there's nothing wrong with hunting, everything is fine, devs word is sacred. As said before. There is no war in Ba Sing Se. It's why it feels like an extremely self centered echo chamber with them, and their followers just blindly agreeing with every word they spit out. Well news flash. Nothing is fine with currently implemented hunting. Sure there's ways of mitigating the jank. Exploiting their threat detection, or pathfinding via pitfalls, just install mods. Ye that's ideal, right? Or is passable, fine? Cause yes. System is passable. It gives you resources you need. Far from ideal, broken, boring, but functional. That makes it fine? As for spears, ye don't balance other weapons, that are clearly underpowered. They're fine after all. Everything is fine. Ugh... Negative nancy, I know, but I'm just tired, boss. Tired of issues getting ignored or swept under the rug. Not subjective issues like ono muh ice elevators, but core gameplay issues. U know? Whole game is more than quite fine I'd say. It's a rough gem of quite a lot of random briliance. Trying to stick to vanilla as much as possible too. Biggest deviations are Draconis and Rustbound. Personally don't much care for rustbound, it's mostly for one of my friends. Bonus thing for him to do while we farm, explore, mine, all that. Hah, he not big into all that. But yeah, again plenty of rust underneath the surface as well, that should be addressed sooner or later. Is what I'm saying. Not just this false positive of "everything's fine", cause god. Some things really aint. There's plenty to love, so we all should strive to let devs know where their attention should be put. U think cooking pots needing a pair of tongs is really something that should take priority over weapon rebalance, that's not just a spear nerf? (Also legit, devs ordering takeout for the duration of the dev cycle, and forgot that cooking isn't smelting hot iron? That a dish rag, or pair of oven mitts, or any mitts for that matter is fine enough? That pouring hot stew into a bowl doesn't turn said bowl nuclear immediately? What tf is that change, legit.) Hah, u know what's the stupidest and most laughable in all this debate of it totes realistic? U know what ceramic is? A great heat insulator.
