for balance would make them use components for its structure aswell as coppronikel... and you would need more temporal gears to improve its speed, what are its advantages, each fully upgraded 1 works aswell as 1,5 or 2 full windmills, its speed is stable, but! BUT! they accelerate a lot during temporal storms. main advantage, no need to build huge structures above ground to get the best speed or depend on wind at all for doing work, downside, you would need several hard to get materials.

Id go for a route where you can perform a couple quests for each trader and then invite them to your town, afterwards they give you an item that is like a tradepost deed, and you place a shop wherever you want in a certain volume area. so lets say you go for the blacksmith, then you place the deed and it marks an 8x8 area in which he will build his base workshop, then you can build something cooler around it. even better for certain players, you can chose if placing the building less option or the larger option having it be a whole store, that way we could build commercial districts and towns.

agreed durability should be linked to the head of the tool, or in case of the shears the whole thing, so when durability reaches 0 you have to re forge the object at the anvil, probably addings small bits of the same metal to re shape it, then just add a new stick and done. on the other hand another simpler option would be. any tool with 0 durability becomes a broken something, and you can use the chisel to break up and recover some metal bits back.
