More regional variants of animals

I really like how there's a bear and rabbit for just about every climatic environment, and I was wondering if the same could be done for other animals.

Specifically, raccoons. I was thinking there could be a variant or reskin for this animal in other environments

A Honey badger in the sub-Saharra/ savannah (I feel like this one should attack and run when you get too close)

A red panda or tanuki for the tropics and jungle

and wolverines for the colder environments (I think this one should be openly hostile)

There are arctic foxes in the colder climes.
