Homogenized Surgeon Posted August 30, 2024 Report Posted August 30, 2024 So I started playing this game a week ago and I'm having a blast, particularly by being grossly under-prepared for my first winter and having to struggle for every bit of food. So as I was struggling for survival I started wondering is there a way to change the seasons "schedule" to make winter longer and other seasons a bit shorter? I checked in the world setting but I don't see any way to tweak that, so maybe a mod, or maybe I'm missing something?
Streetwind Posted August 30, 2024 Report Posted August 30, 2024 (edited) Like in real life, the seasons depend on your latitude in the world. Move further north, you will get longer/harsher winters and shorter/cooler summers. Move further south, and the opposite happens. If you go past the equator, the seasons even flip. You can set your desired starting climate when creating a new world, which determines at which latitude the world spawn is placed. Edited August 30, 2024 by Streetwind
Brady_The Posted August 30, 2024 Report Posted August 30, 2024 I'd still say that it would be an interesting idea to have more control over the Days per month setting, either being able to fine-tune the amount of days in every single month or in a quarterly fashion which in turn could loosely correlate to the seasons.
LadyWYT Posted August 30, 2024 Report Posted August 30, 2024 This mod is likely what you're looking for: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/7003 And this mod probably doesn't help with tuning seasons, but will help with tuning other things, should you desire to: https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/10411 1
