Tumble Trash Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 Can you farm them or can you only get what has spawned?
Solution Alder Posted September 7, 2024 Solution Report Posted September 7, 2024 Mark the location where you found the mushrooms on the map, they will eventually regrow within that area even if they've been entirely harvested. That being said, I believe some mods allow you to properly cultivate mushrooms as well, but as for vanilla, there is no way to 'farm' mushrooms, other than returning to where they were found to see if they've regrown. 2
LadyWYT Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 What @Alder said. If I'm after mushrooms specifically and find a good forage spot, I mark it down and come back every so often to harvest. However, if I'm just after vegetable nutrition, conventional farm vegetables like turnips and cabbage are much, much better.
Maelstrom Posted September 10, 2024 Report Posted September 10, 2024 (edited) @LadyWYT But where's the fun in sharing some fly agaric or even death cap laced meals with your friends? Edited September 11, 2024 by Maelstrom 1 3

I mean...I didn't have to share those special meals with my friend when he was playing Vintage Story--he ate those shrooms all by himself! 3

Yea you can grow mushroom by yourself! But with mods. Wildfarming - you can craft mushroom substrate ( need aquavitae - prodiuct o destilling alcohol ) and Mushroom Trader - you can buy mushroom substrate and mushrooms to grow.
