gty82394 Posted January 20, 2025 Report Posted January 20, 2025 (edited) Hey Everyone, I was going to prospect but then I realized both density and node search mode for the prospecting pick isn't working since I updated my world to version 1.20.1. Should I just start a new world (which I hope not too since I'm already doing good in this one) or is this an issue other people are having and it will be fixed? Update: *** Nevermind, the information is just on the info log and not in the general log. lol I don't remember this being a thing, but just in case anyone also had this issue. LadyWYT Posted January 20, 2025 Report Posted January 20, 2025 The prospecting pick still works, however, when used it doesn't automatically pull up the text box with the information like it did before. You'll have to hit Tab and manually switch to the correct window. Unfortunately, the issue isn't just limited to the pick--it also applies to the temporal storm warnings. A buddy and I got caught off-guard yesterday and while it did make the storm much more exciting...I'd much rather have a warning so I have time to prepare! 1 2

Kevin Eric Snell Posted January 21, 2025 Report Posted January 21, 2025 I noticed a similar thing, and in fact I was about to make a post exactly like this one, but then (just to make sure) I double-checked to make sure the info log was displaying. Seems like the difference is prospecting picks no longer automatically switch on the info log so you can immediately see the readings. 1
Kevin Eric Snell Posted January 23, 2025 Report Posted January 23, 2025 Okay, my easygoing attitude to this issue is quickly turning into severe irritation. Every single time I use the prospecting pick, I have to take precious time to open up the chat, then lock down the screen so the mouse can select the tabs, mouse over to the info log, click, and then and only then can I see the results of my prospecting. Ridiculous. Fix this now.
Thorfinn Posted January 23, 2025 Report Posted January 23, 2025 My guess is that it's tuned for people using the map, and just opening the Prospecting overlay. It's not great for Wilderness settings, to be sure.
