So I have been messing around in creative learning the game and what all the blocks look like and learning commands and messing with those, but I noticed that the .debug find command does not work for halite or at least I do not know the right word to use and I can't find anything in the forums or online. when I type .debug find salt it always gives coords for saltpeter 100% of the time, and when I type .debug find halite it says halite doesn't exist so what is halite called in the code for commands and such?

Halite is set up differently than saltpeter. It's a variation of rock, so the code for halite would be "rock-halite".

If you are interested in finding naturally spawned blocks or generally experimenting with the world generation in-game, I can recommend this mod: https://mods.vintagestory.at/xray

So that doesn't work. rock-halite returns with no matching blocks found. Does that mean I haven't generated it yet or that its the wrong name or something else.

try searching for sylvite.  it doesn't always occur in halite, but halite is pretty much the only place it does spawn afaik

not sure of the exact naming of halite rock in the code, since debug doesn't want to recognize the word halite, might have a suffix or prefix i'm unaware of

[edit]

seems i was able to get the command to work:

.debug find rock-halite

just need to be close enough to the deposit (not sure could be based on render distance)
